  1. So setting the hook and crossing its eyes yanking into the boat out of their environment so they cannot breathe. Taking a hero shot and pitching back into the water isn't making them suffer? Mitch buddy I know you are not a vegan. What about those other animals you consume? What do they go through? 😆 I know something we don't see. Probably something we don't want to see. Out of sight out of mind. I got to thinking about the beef we bought on the hoof a couple of years ago. I got to take a truck and big cattle trailer with three outer cows after we ran them into the trailer to the process plant. As I drove up the highway I could feel them shifting back there. I thought wonder what they are thinking right now? Those pretty cows are about to meet their maker. At the destination they were unloading into a pen. Eyes wide and wild. I thought oooh what a way to go. Gonna keep our bellies full.😃 I think a few innocent fish we eat will be ok. As long as we ask a blessing over it.
  2. I agree and we harvest some early pond bass for some of that good eats.
  3. On killing trout | Hatch Magazine - Fly Fishing, etc. Food for thought no pun intended.
  4. 2013 2500 4WD Silverado extended cab. It's got 165232 miles on it. I have had an offer on trade in for another vehicle if I pull the trigger.
  5. Pat and I are selling the truck camper. Everything works. Have not used it in approximately five years. Have had it for many moons. No water damage from leaking it's been stored inside a garage always. For a longbead pickup. Has water tank, sink, propane stove, three way fridge, hot water tank. Furnace and AC unit. It's a low profile that raises by crank with a vinyl skirt. Complete with four removable camper jacks. If you have a truck you can go camping for 2000.00 . We have hauled it for a few years on a half ton. But changed to a three quarter ton. Thanks for looking.

  10. Freeze warning tonight so after fried bluegill fillets and morels we will make a quick sweep in a place Pat has not hunted yet. That girl has put on many, many footsteps by herself so far this season. She says 80 to 100 Is the count. Some the size of her pinky finger but they all count.

I have only seen just the breasts once and didn't check the price. When we do first in Sous vide it's 129 or 130. You did good Man. How was it for tenderness being farm raised. On our wild birds the teal either blue wing or green wing are really tender. When we get to the bigger ducks then you have to slice thinner. Worst part is where the wing joint was and we remove the leader sinew as much as we can.

  15. By gosh I think it did! I am so glad I met this guy years ago and he became one of our friends. https://www.facebook.com/579150825/videos/824718269480470/
  16. I always put my squeeze on brass plastic lined nock point above where the arrow would be tuned for flight. Did not matter if you shot split or three under it went nowhere. Everyone I knew did too. For the record I shot split fingers if I could still shoot today with self bows, I would convert to three fingers under. I will bet you a hundred bucks the majority of shooters do it this way nocking under the nock ring.
  17. Hey buddy I will call you or text later.

    What's Cooking?

Cooking things here but it's just been favorites. We did get invited to the neighbors last week on Pat's birthday. They made a Frenched pork rib roast. And some great sides. Never had one of these before. Good. Good enough we bought one yesterday to do for ourselves. Speaking of yesterday we went out to eat and we don't do that very often. Pat is now retired so we are foot loose and fancy free. She had a gift certificate for the short street tavern in Montrose Missouri. They have a good selection of food. We shared the place with the doctor she worked with. That doctor provided the certificate. Time to use it, two prime rib dinners. We have enough left to graze for a couple days.
