  1. Let's see a pic of this amazing fly!!!
  2. That's a nice rig... and fish.
  3. Be carfull what you wish for. When PWT discoverd how good a fishery Millford lake in KS was they decided to come a second year... for the final I believe. That lake has got so much pressure since it's never been the same.
  4. Mine too!
  5. I can't remeber the name of the place and even couldn't tell you where it was... other then pretty close to the lake and I believe the Garfield area. Buffet all you can eat... I think I had crab legs. Ring a bell to anyone???
  6. Walleye on a fly... Amazing!
  7. NIce one and great picture!
  8. I have been wondering walleye would like an A-rig?
  9. Sounds like a lot of fun. Not a lot of ducks up here (KC area) this year... too dang dry!
  10. I'm curious how you guys duck hunt Beaver with all the houses and docks around. Do you just pick an isolated cove and set up? I'm in KC and love to come down there and fish and someday would like to have a place on Beaver. Never really thought of it to be a good place to duck hunt though. I didn't think I could get better but to be able to waterfowl hunt right on the lake sounds too good to be true.
  11. Nice!
  12. One night while fishing on a dock mid Taney I had a critter grab my stringer with a couple stockers on it as I raised it from the water. Thing was basically under the dock decking right below my feet. I never saw what it was but that sob was strong... pulled the metal stringer from my hand and ripped a fish off. Re the run ins with beaver. They don't see well... I've had them darn near swim into the side of my boat.
  13. I one time took home a handful of the trout feed you can buy at the Tanycomo hatchery. Stored a bunch of 100th oz brown jigs in the stuff. Thought it was my secret weapon... can't say it made a bit of a difference in the number of fish I caught but it was fun experiment.
  14. <<<<<<
  15. Exactly. Best to find a fly shop thet will let you cast the line out back of their shop prior to buying. If you have a local shop ask... mine actually suggested doing this!
  16. Dang... another BIG fish!!!
  17. I was wondering what was begin trolled as well. That's a great catch. I think that one would be on my wall if I caught it.
  18. I'll take that video over a report any day. Almost felt like I was fishing for a second.
  19. Any one ever try catching shad with little hair hook rigs? We use them when salt water fishing... often people will refer them to a Sabaki rig. Basically its a multi hook rig that uses tiny hooks with a little bead or feathers.. you can also bait them with a tiny piece of shrimp. They work great for catching bait and was curious if the may catch shad when they are balled up. Don't mean to de-rail the OP but thought it a fitting question considering the shad talk.
  20. That's impressive!
  21. I'd guess otter as well. They're d@mn strong. I was fishing on a resort dock at Tanycomo one night. Gut hooked a trout and decided to throw it on a chain stringer. went to drop it in the water and an otter that was sitting below the deck top grabbed it. I was in a tug of war with the thing for about ten seconds... and lost. My 80# lab doesn't pull as hard as this thing did. Scared the heck out of me.
  22. Yep... can't beat a Lund. I have an older one I picked up at an auction for about nothin. Totally re did her... 17' and 75hp. This spring I got caught on the wrong end of a big open Kansas reservoir... later to be reported 30-40mph winds. We bucked through 3 and 4' whitecap waves all the way home. 3 boats sunk that day... mine wasn't one of them. I've used the same boat on Taney.
  23. Probably???
