  4. Phil, I have no idea what most of what you posted means! LOL! Thanks for the forum and have a great time in Boston. My wife and I were there for a short time last fall, looks like a place a person could have a really good time. WM
  5. Good looking rig Boobie! WM

  9. Made a quick trip to Stockton this weekend. Fished from 8:30 to 2:30 on the 18th. Had a mixed bag that didn't include any walleye. Lots of drum and bluegill on slow death. Picked up some big crappie trolling cranks late in the day, but didn't keep any. Fished main lake points, bluffs and coves near the mile long bridge. Made a quick trip out the morning of the 19th and picked up three nice walleye, several small crappie, bass etc. until I had to give it up and head home. Fun trip, but was too short. WM
  10. As always, great video Dan! The under water footage of that catfish was killer! Boobie, post up a picture of that Lund! I wanna see that bad boy! WM
  11. I usually just use a slow death hook tied to floro with a snell and a chartreuse, red or chrome bead above the hook. I have tied some with three beads and a Mack's Smile blade. They put a few in the boat a couple of weeks ago. I put a swivel on the other end of the leader to help prevent line twist. I try to use quality swivels, but have used cheaper one's and not had problems. I have also tied some like RPS described, tied the hook to a small swivel, the leader, beads and spinner blades above that. I can't remember if I've ever even tried them! I'll have to dig through my harness stuff next time I'm at Stockton and see if I can find them. I might have a tackle problem? WM
  12. I'll try to answer you questions Hermy, I'm kind of a tourist at Stockton as well but I go there pretty often. The locals may be able to better answer. There is a bait shop called Happy Hook on highway 32 on the east side of town before you get to the road over the dam. There is a large "Woods" grocery store at the corner of Hwy 39 and RB Road on the south side of town. They have crawlers there too. I believe every gas station in town has 91 octane fuel. All of the ramps on Stockton are real nice. The closest free ramps to you will be Hartley and State Park Marina. Their entrances are across the road from each other on Hwy 215 a couple of miles east of the mile long bridge. The Corps of Engineers ramps charge $5.00 a day or you can buy a pass for $40.00, I believe. I'm sure others will chime in, I have to go to work will try to add more tonight if all hasn't been answered by then. Good luck and have fun. Here's a link to a lake map. http://www.nwk.usace.army.mil/Portals/29/docs/lakesites/stockton/2011BrochureST9-7.pdf WM
  13. This is my lake truck that I generally use to launch the boat. It's a 1983 Chevrolet. I owned this truck for about fifteen years and stupidly sold it about five years ago, I was fortunate enough to buy it again last year. It now lives at Stockton Lake and it's primary job is towing and launching my boat. It's rusty but trusty and the A/C even still works. I have no plans of EVER selling it again. WM
  14. MSeery, great job fixing up your grandfather's boat. I'll bet it's pretty gratifying putting fish in it! Zarra, thanks for the spreadsheet of boats, cool idea. Rick Baker, good idea mentioning tow vehicles. I have a 1983 Chevy that I leave at the lake I'll post a pic when I can! Nice rig bassfisher!
  15. Nice job lmt out. Hope I catch twenty next time I get down there! WM

  20. Guys were talking about this in another thread and it's been a couple of years since I've done this. Stockton fishermen, post a picture of your boats! Mine is a 2006 Ranger Reata 210 with Evinrude ETEC 225HO. If you see me trolling on the lake swing by and say hi! WM
  21. Great video Dan! Need more information...What depth were you fishing? Speed? What weight of bouncers are you running? Inquiring minds want to know! WM
  22. Glad to hear you caught some. I usually have decent luck in the spring and struggle in the summer. I mentioned that in a post a while back, and out of the blue, sac river jim sent me a pm with some suggestions. That meant a lot to me. Sadly he passed away a few days later. Since then, I try to do a better job of trying to help out if I think I can. WM
  23. Wow, I'm so envious! Nice eye! WM
  24. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good! WM
