  1. For those that only visit this page thought I would let you know that Major League Fishing is at Lake of the Ozarks filming. They fished the gravois arm yesterday and today are fishing the Glaize arm.
  2. Fishing the glaize today
  3. Definitely not Shawnee Bend, looks like Coffman
  4. Yep, I here you Champ, same here. I am a original member to club and had 2 rods and a small double sided tackle box when I started with club. I am now the president of the club and have learned so much and have plenty of great memories.
  5. Thanks Dave! Hope they didn't pester you to much ?. We have a good group of guys who have been together a long time (club started in 1991) and half the guys have been in club since mid 90s. Like I tell any new members that come in, if you are in it for money your in the wrong club.
  6. Yes you are fishing against your partner and not as a team, but we do pay out for big boat as a team. I blew my boat up after putting on a brand new lower unit so I was in the back of the boat which was different and really relaxing except for trying to figure out what to take when I was used to a 19 foot tackle box with 12 rods at my disposal ?. What I call a power Shakeyhead we use up here at LOZ or I use pretty much anywhere is a Crock-a-gator screw in jig head in 5/16 to 3/4 oz with a 5 inch senko.
  7. We had our club tourney this past weekend, stayed at Schooner creek and met Dave (dtrs5kprs) which was a pleasure to meet him and pick his brain about Ned and TR fishing in general. Fished from 5-2 Sat and 5-10 Sunday. Fishing was slow but productive for us, had 3 keepers for 8.29 on Saturday and 4 keeps Sunday for 9.47 with all fish being largemouth. Caught all fish on a Shakeyhead or what I like to call it "power Shakeyhead" we use up at LOZ and 2 on 9/16 oz jig. Caught all fish shallow, 10 foot or less on mixed rock banks in brush. Could not get anything going on pea gravel flats with grub or the Ned rig sitting boat in 25 to 35 foot. Some fish caught by some on topwater, bluffs with jigs with their nose right on bluff and some largemouth caught as deep as 30 foot in brush is what I heard. Big fish of 6.06 caught on a worm in 2 foot of water in buck brush.
  8. It is already changing some, I see more and more pontoon (tritoon) boats on lake. I doubt the big boats will ever leave us though.
  9. I think half of them were in east sugarloaf ?
  10. Nice! Haven't been on lake in a month. Should be some nice topwater coming anytime if not already.
  11. 65-69 I believe it was
  12. Like I said, have not fished Bull in 10 years and was looking forward to it. Went down Thursday morning and took out of little buck and went towards big creek fished some main lake flats with fluke, keitech 3.8 catching a few with one real nice 18+ smallie. Went in cedar creek and caught another smallie on a 5 inch smoke grub. There are just tons of little fish in Bull right now. Tried throwing some bottom baits in brush but the gills driving you crazy. Friday went into east sugarloaf and fished some stuff I hadn't fished in forever and found the spot we were going to start our tourney on, catching 2 nice LM on back to back cast. Fog delayed our club deal and we started at 9 and fished till 5, partner and I caught 6 keepers off that spot Saturday and 5 Sunday. My non-boater won our club tourney with 20.07 in a day and a half. I ended in 3rd with 12.19 mostly all on that spot. We were catching post spawn LM with a few 13 to 14 inch Ks mixed in using carolina rigged missile d-bomb and a Texas rigged rage craw. Did have a few fish early on spooks and black spinnerbait in front of bushes. Tons of boats fishing Saturday mostly flipping bushes, more boats than I can ever remember for Bull. Sunday was back to normal Bull that I remembered not seeing any boats. Fishing was tougher than I thought it was going to be for some reason.
  13. Lake is fine, not hardly any rain here
  14. fishing buck creek area the 21st weekend for the first time in about 10 years, any reports? I assume they are spawning pretty good right now. Was planning on floating worms, flukes, c-rig, shakyhead and grubs. Really looking forward to fishing bull, it's been a long time.
  15. I think they may be collectors item. Just sold a couple 4600 CS new reels for $150 each
  16. Like Mike said, bet pretty close. Had a buddy fish up in Shawnee bend area and he said it was a zoo with all the fishing boats along with the big boats.
  17. Water was clear last week, 3 foot vis. and water temp 61-66
  18. I had plenty of bites that I swung on and came up empty so I let the bait sit when I felt a bite and kept tension on line and when it swam off set the hook but a lot of times a couple of more pecks and then nothing. These were not bedding fish.
  19. Had 3 on whopper plopper and a couple on spook but no big girls. Fishing was tough on us fishing from 24 to 31 mm. Saw stats that only 16% of checks cashed were from that area, figures. What was nice, the fishing pressure was not to awful bad compared to gravois area but we struggled.
  20. Everyone sees $$$$. Wish it was rainy with a few storms to keep the big boats in, oh well looks like I won't be traveling far. Hope I pick the right area. Good luck everyone and be safe and kind! I am thinking 7.94 lber to win it
  21. Pt. Randall Resort 2 mm and Golden Horseshoe Resort at 11 mm
  22. Just a little, that is why I said not the glaize.
  23. Water is clear and 59-62
