  1. Phil - Is that an Iphone app? If so is there a Android app? I cannot find it in the app store?
  2. Yea - my neighbors and I use SeaTow - $100/yr - and it is good on any boat or Seadoo you own or any boat you are on even it is not yours.
  3. I loaded Tapatalk - it works well Thx Bobby
  4. Is there a mobile app for Ozarkanglers.com?? Thx Bob
  5. What do you guys know about these rocks to be used for structure? Are they going to be left where they are? placed in groups? locations marked? How will they get them out there? When? Thanks Bob
  6. We have had a bass boat stolen (but later found less its fishing gear) and two jet skis. a variety of fishing gear and lots of gas over the last few years. We have caught two young people having sex in one of the boats but let them go as the boy was on leave from Afghanistan. We have installed a locked gate with a barrier to make it tough to get around the gate. Being an engineer I designed and built an alarm system that would work in cold weather and that has helped the most.
  7. Excellent job - can you say where on the James - upper, lower, Cape Fair?? Thx
  8. Anybody be willing to share current info (last day or two) regarding the conditions on the James up near Ashercane or Blunk? water level? water clarity, water temp? whites biting yet? Thx Bob
  9. so did they just add the GPS locations to the existing file or can I get just the new locations and if so where?? Thx Bob
  10. take line varies - if you are looking in Stone Co, you can see and measure the take line from the map which shows property lines and other info link http://www.stonecomogis.com/stone/
  11. Question - When referring to Big Indian and Little Indian Creek, is that usually meant to be that area south of Baxter? We have a place on the lake at the complete northend of Indian Point (about 4 miles north of Indian Point between Branson West and Silver Dollar City) that we call Indian Creek with an adjoining creek to the south called Little Indian. What is the relationship of these creeks?
  12. Get the biggest and best Humminbird that you can afford now and get the network module as well - you will not regret it. I have the 900 series on the console with a transom mounted side imaging transducer and the 777 on the bow with a built in transducer on my Powerdrive trolling motor. The two units are networked. I wish I had the bigger screen up front and a side imaging transducer up front but I really like the built in transducer on the Powerdrive. My favorite screen is the three way spilt - side image, down image, and sonar on the 997 so I can compare the three. The three preset view buttons allow me to quickly jump from the three way split to gps view (also split to another pre-programmed favorite view. The three way splits on the smaller screens are a bit too small for me. I was told a while back that BassPro was selling last years version of the 900 series cheap but because I like the built in transducer on the Powerdrive I kept what I have. Good luck
  13. If you have a *.gpx file, you will need to upload this file into Humminbird PC and convert it to the Humminbird format. Humminbird PC will save the file back on to your SD card in a Folder called Matrix. Then put the SD card into your powered up unit and it will upload the waypoints automatically. According to the Humminbird tech, some of the older units did recognize the gpx file, but my 997 does not.
  14. If your looking for a deck boat that can be used for fishing I've done allot of research on this and looked at the Lowes, Princekraft, Polar ?, Hurricane and many others. We wanted a 8 - 10 passenger that could be used for sking and fishing. I ended up with a NauticStar 205 which is made in Mississippi. It's all fiberglass without any wood. It comes standard with a 115 hp 4 stroke Yamaha but can take a 150. From my research the fuel ecomony with this motor was the best I could find - 3.6 gal/hr at mid range and 7.6 at 5000 rpm. Top speed is 41 mph. It maintains plane at about 15 mph which is good for wakeboarding. It's gunwales are not so tall as many deck boats so as to not collect the wind so bad when fishing. I'm installing a MinnKota Powerdrive with remote control and built-in dual beam transducer to work with my Humminbird 777 up front and a 997 on the console. Total cost about $30K. My boat is suppose to be built this week and should be in Branson West at Cope Marine in mid to late Feb if you want to check it out. Here are some links to the performance testing and a review in Boating Life or google NauticStar. http://www.yamaha-motor.com/assets/products/otb/bulletins/bulletin_4stroke_midthrustjetport_gyt3_nst-205dcsportdeck-f115tlr.pdf http://www.boatinglife.com/article/Reviews/Nautic-Star-205-DC?typeID=103&categoryID=122
  15. I've just bought the 70 lb Power Drive for my new boat on order. The Power Drive is the older version of the Terrova. If you need more than 70 lbs you need to move up to the Terrova. I had one of these years ago and liked it then. You are correct, it is very responsive in fact probably as fast as you can move the motor head on a traditional foot control. I got mine with the autopilot, the built-in dual beam transducer, and the add-on co-pilot. The autopilot uses an internal compass to automatically keep the boat headed in a compass direction. The co-pilot is just a remote wireless key type fob. Minn-Kota also offers another option which uses GPS (don't know what they call this)which although has been out for at least a year or two, I've read and heard bad things about this. It's suppose to keep the boat in the same place regardless of wind and current. I've heard that in some cases the boat just spins in circles. This kinda of makes sense in that GPS readings can be 3 meters off so if the reading keeps changing I could see how this would confuse the motor. If others have had success with the GPS I would like to hear regarding this as I can always add it. Also we were at the KC Sportshow a couple weeks back and I noted that the Terrova was on some big Ranger boats.
  16. I called the Corp about this a couple years ago and particularly asked about the ramp at the subdivision at Asher Cane. These ramps are public and can be used by all but the problem is that the adjacent landowners can restrict parking. In the case of that subdivision, there are only a few parking spots on the Corp land just next to the ramp and the subdivision had posted signs indicating they would tow vehicles. In the spring when many want to run up the James with the limited number of ramps in that area, I've seen dozens of vehicles at Asher.
  17. has not set their status

  18. Can you tell me where about you do this at on TR?
  19. Is one area better than the other - darn area?, upper end?, James? Kings? Can you give me a hint for next year? We have a weekend place on TR but live in KC - I do my duck hunting up that way. Thx
  20. I fished Friday and Saturday afternoon and had some of the best fishing every just below the ramp. Several 17 and 18 inch fish and many many 14 inch. Very few fishing especially Sat. probably due to the cold weather. I am interested in hearing about duck hunting on Table Rock, Taney or any other place in the area. You mentioned Duane who duck hunts on TR. I would be interested in emailing him. Thanks
  21. are you fishing after dark for the whites?
  22. I'm new to the area with a place on TR. I like to float the James and have done so lower down. One question - I have a 17 ft aluminum canoe with a 2 hp outboard and a poly 17 ft canoe. I prefer the aluminum. Can I use the aluminum with the motor from Delaware to Shelvin without tearing it up this time of year? Thanks
  23. All - Thanks for the info and advise. I don't know which day we will go but we will look for you Thanks again
  24. I'm planning to float and fish this weekend - May 23. Can you tell me a bit about the river conditions, where to put in and take out for about a 5 hour float. I have a plastic canoe and an aluminum with a 2 hp motor. Which is better for the suggested area? What is a good bait (artifical or nature) for smallmouth? Thanks in advance for the help.
