  1. DID SOMEONE SAY DRUM???? What they hittin on????
  2. You're all missing the point. Anytime is a good time to go fishing on Table Rock.
  3. i live in Wichita and it's 5 hours for me to get to the lake home. The owner next store and i have it worked out. Whoever is there, cuts both lawns. So, far it has worked out. Only challenge is trash...So, we bring it home or use small bags to dispose of whenever we're there.
  4. Great to see the hard working DOC folks putting the fish attractors down on the white. Would be interested to know exactly where and when they will update the site. Anyone know the exact locations or have a link?
  5. Billfo. Now is the time to set up the camera. I'm stuck at work right now and wishing I was there. Camera would be the next best thing. So, if I ever get computer literate, I"ll put one on my deck. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.
  6. Can't beat em... Join em. I found that fishing right before sun up until about 9-10am is the best fishing time on the Rock anyway. Just in time for me to head home, nice breakfast, nap, take the boat out for a cruise or swim with the family, home for dinner and back out around sunrise for about 2 hours. Trying to fish sometimes from Memorial Day until Labor Day any other times is non-productive anyways. If the lake was only good for fishing, I wouldn't have bought there. It's great to have a lake one can fish, swim, boat, cruise and find a few place to eat along the way. It's incredibly clean, very few days you can't boat on it, not crowded, crowded and within driving distance of plenty to do, between Eureka Springs, Branson and Springfield, which makes this the perfect lake.
  7. In my subdivision, we have a water shut off valve about 3' down in the ground, down by our street. It's our main. Can you shut off there?
  8. nice pics.. keep them coming. "a bad day of pics, is still better than a good day at work"
  9. I live in Emerald Beach, across from Viney. I've fished that area now 4 summers and have my favorite spots. But its taken 4 years of hard fishing to just be an average fisherman at best. So take your time. Lots of deep water, bends, coves, cliffs, chunk rock, pebble and points. I'll be back on the lake again in the spring and summer. I have a blue and brown Sylvan deep v. Stop by and chat if you see me then. Good luck.
  10. Thanks Bill. Found them Sunday AM, just when we had to leave. Found bass in 35-50' water along wind swepted high rock cliffs. It was blowing hard and drifted along the cliff rock. Dragged a grape and brown 6" worm and started catching. Nothing too big too. Had one big one take my line down, bent pole to almost breaking point and must have taken me under a tree, then Snapped the line. I'll have to get him next year, as I shut the place and boat down for the winter. See ya all next spring. Good luck.
  11. Heading back out this afternoon. Thank you for the information. Of course now it's windy and overcast, with a chance of rain. Bill, do you think the same pattern or will they be on the move now that conditions different?
  12. Heard how great the fishing was "yesterday". Got out early, before sun up. Threw a spinner bait, red fin, crankbait, wiggle wart, crayfish colored jig on a shaky head, fished pebble shoreline, pebble banks and 45 degree chunck. NADA. Anyone doing anything? Any suggestions, besides patience? Down on white section near Viney Creek.
  13. I'd bet it doesn't have anything to do about habitat. That sounds good in a meeting. Probably closer and easier for the dump at that location, than say driving all the way down to the Kings or White River sections. If it had to do with Habitat, you'd think they'd talk to the people who fish. So, some one made a decision in the name habitat and keeping expense down for the hauling company.
  14. Thanks for the advise.
  15. Just read a post that stated if not using boat for 30 days, you should not top off. Last year, my mechanic said to top off gas for winter storage to keep out the condensation. I am going out 1 last time next week and won't be back until March, so if anyone has an opinion on this, it would be appreciated. I put both stable and Seafoam in the tank this last fill up. Sprayed the plugs with fogging oi", drained any water and did my yearly change of lower unit. Any other thoughts on winter shut down of my 115 outboard?
  16. I swear by "sea foam". To stabalize the fuel. My outboard use to die out when 1dt starting, in idle or trolling real slow. Doesn't anymore.
  17. Here's an idea. Try fishing with a pole. No sport trotlining. Fishermen should respect nature and this trotlining seems to do more damage than good . Doesn't seem right for fisherman to support this way of fishing, just because they can. No sport in that.
  18. Yep. They take over an area and scare away the bass. Also, an older gentleman on the white, had a 7 footer on one day. Ripped open his arm when he tried to get his lure out of the gar's mouth.
  19. Makes me proud to be an American.
  20. glad to see the whites beginning to surface again. Thought maybe they left the lake.
  21. gar???
  22. And I'm at the quiet end of the lake. There were a ton a boats out tonight at dusk.
  23. I found some white bass about 7pm tonight. They were in 82' of water, suspended at between 35 and 50. Dropped a spoon and caught, but the boat traffic made it impossible to fish.
