  1. oh no, i HATE how that stuff smells. i cant stand it. I try to avoid getting tangled and ripping it about.
  2. Good to see the fish are still biting. I'll be there house sitting this weekend and plan to just walk around the cove and see what i can catch.
  3. Thats a Panasonic lumix TS3. i was toren between it and the Nikon 100AW. I almost wish i went with the Nikon just because you can get a clip on filter adapter now, this would really benefit from a polarizer but im thinking of buying the adapter and making it work with the TS3
  4. no idea what it is but it was all over Mill Creek too and its very good at catching fly line and fouling up your cast,
  5. Yeah every fish I caught was nicely filled out. I can only assume the rains have helped with stirring up the stuff providing food. i didnt catch any that looked thin. I hope to return many times to this creek, it was delightful.

  7. This is part 1 of my report at Mill Creek, part 2 will come tonight when I upload pictures. So, i went to Mill Creek yesterday for my first time. let me say, what a fantastic little stream and pleasant drive that was. I parked at the National Forest access, jumped in and caught my first Mill Creek rainbow on my 2nd or 3rd cast. A tinty little dink, all of maybe 3" long but colored nicely and very eager to eat a dry fly. The rest of the day was exactly the same. I probably caught a rainbow from 3" to 10" on every other cast, bringing a total of over 30 to hand, with atleast that many falling off the barbless fly before I got em in all the way. I did see in one hole 4 BIG trout. They would have been 12-14" EASY but they dont get big by being dumb, I couldnt convince them to eat. My last fish of the day was my biggest, i was casting a BHPT at some big minnows when this super bright green rainbow shot up and inhaled the fly, a good solid 10" fish. I left with a big smile on my face. I will be back, that creek was most excellent and the perfect middle of the week break for me. Pictures will come tonight once I upload them.
  8. Excellent fish, great colors. Looks like its probably been in the lake for a while. Is that a lamson reel on the bank robber?
  9. Reels in select sizes are back at Cabelas. Sierra Trading post also has them.
  10. Sounds like a regular old banded water snake. nothing to fear about them, they are testie little critters, i stopped catching them because I have become tired of being biten by them.
  11. That must be the same pair a gal I work with saw yesterday on the Meremec down by Campbell Bridge. Saw an adult and a juvi
  12. They can be. Are you sure they are otters and not muskrats? I have never seen an otter down that way and I would imagin that creek being way to small to support and otter population. muskrat and beaver yes. i see lots of them.
  13. Nice fish K4, i need to get out there again and try to catch some.
  14. I hope I can atleast get to Mill this year, still never been. I had good luck at BSC in Jan or Feb this year finally, i'll go back, i might fish it during deer season since I hunt across the road from it.
