  1. We decided to try the other arm. We got to Stockton State Park before first light. We did not even tie on bottom baits. We used spinner baits, crank baits, and buzz baits. I threw mostly spinner baits while Kyle used crank baits. The crank baits were slightly better than the spinner baits. We wound up catching 19 bass with 7 of them keepers. 3 keeper smallies, 1 keeper spot, and 3 keeper largemouth. That makes me feel pretty good about my upcoming camping trip.
  2. We got to Hartley just after sun up. We started close with spinner baits and buzz baits. Nothing. We decided they might be deep so we fished jigs, plastics, and Ned. Nothing again. After a couple of hours and a boat ride we found some wind. We fished spinner baits and crank baits the rest of the day. Chunk and wind. Chunk and wind. We ended up with 19 bass 5 of them nice keepers 2 lmb 2 spots 1 smb. And yes Walcrabass Kyle took the spots home to eat.
  3. That plus clear fence rows. Several years ago I was talking to the neighbor who bordered one of our farms. He was a vet from the Korean War. He said when he returned home the 200 acre farm had 8-10 coveys. I asked him the difference in the farm. His comment was the fence rows were grown up, the pastures were lespedeza, and they had 1 field of milo. At the time we shared 1 covey. Both farms had fescue and relatively clean fence rows.
  4. I am seeing it off and on at about 30’ in various locations.
  5. Sold pending payment.
  6. I switched brands so I don’t need this anymore. $100 TYD
  7. What lake is this? It looks like a gazillion bait fish to me.
  8. When I sold my poles I put them on BBC. I listed price plus shipping. When they sold I had Bass Pro service center remove them. That cost about $50 which I absorbed. I had UPS build a box, pack them up and ship them. The buyer paid for that.

I fished up to High Point. The off shore stuff is still covered.

    A quickie

My lawn needed mowing but I wanted to wet a line so I made a quick trip to Cedar Ridge. I had a very bad start. I lost the first 6 fish on a spinner bait. I switched to a buzz bait and caught 2 nice keepers. I decided to try the bottom for a while and caught 1 keeper on a jig. I changed spinner bait colors and got 3 more. I ended up with 6 bass 4 of them were keepers. The best fish was a smallie on the buzz bait.
  14. I was at the tire shop in Republic a couple of days ago. The guys said the owner was selling his boat and 5th wheeler. I don’t know anything except it is a G3 and he fishes for walleye. It might be worth a look. It is on Hampton just north of Hwy 60. REPUBLIC TIRE 417-732-7776
  15. Pm me your info and I will mail them to you.
  16. Maybe I wasn’t clear enough. I am not looking to sell them. They were free to me and will be free to someone who can use them. They are supposed to work with Lowrance Gen 1 to Carbon.
  17. Welcome to the board. Pommy is a small lake From the dam about 9 miles is as far as one should go up the Lindley and about 12 miles up the Pom. It gets a little dicey beyond there if you don’t know the lake. I don’t fish there a lot these days but when i do I always have a spinnerbait tied on. Crankbaits, jigs, and plastics work just like any place else. You need to be careful when going into coves and heading to flat banks because there is still a lot of submerged standing timber especially in places like Haverstick and Doc Bailey coves. The coves down around the dam aren’t full of the timber. There are several good launch areas but the courtesy docks are away from the ramps so it is more convenient if you have someone with you. If you have any expensive baits be careful where you throw them unless you are mad at them because those nasty toothy critters have a habit taking them away from fishermen. Good luck and let us know how you do.
  18. After reading the comments I am not sure we are all talking about the same thing. To me Texposed is running the hook all the way through the bait and laying it against the bait with the point exposed. The pic looks like the point is embedded in the bait. To me that is Tex Skin.
  19. Sold pending payment.
  20. I have 2 molds that make “biffle bug” type baits. They sell for $139 each. I don’t need them any longer. I would sell both for the price of 1 plus shipping or local pick up.
  21. I have Lowrance compatible maps that were designed by Bruce Samson ie Dr. Sonar a professional walleye fisherman. He sent them to me a few years ago for my opinion as a bass fisherman. Since I have gone to Humminbird I no longer have any need for them. They were made with satellite imagery and show some stuff my Navionics cards didn’t show. I found them in a pack of sd cards today. They need to go to someone who can get some use out of them. Anyone interested let me know.
  22. I don’t really have a favorite. I use TX, TX skin, open hook/ w weedguard, and open hook/ wo weedguard depending on cover and bottom.
  23. I believe that you are the new walleye king of Stockton. Congrats.
  24. Just go slow and easy with the removal. It will probably come off in pieces.
