  1. Where is St. Clair?

    Ruark

Why not put in at Mutton Creek or Rouark and avoid the run?
  3. When you mention possible record breaking, did you weigh her?
  4. I saw a boat at Pomme that had 2 on it. The owner couldn't say enough nice things about them.
  5. Get the bigger one. Mine is mounted in the middle just in front of my foot control. I had the smaller and it dropped down in rough water. The bigger one stays put. Once you get used to the T9 you won't need to touch it very often. Are you putting a lss ducer on the Tmotor?
  6. OK that was a brain fart. I was looking at the map that show all the lakes and I put a Stockton number with the BS numbers.
  7. Thanks. That's what I figured it would look like. So I guess I'll go north.
  8. Thinking of going down that way. I just looked and saw that Bull is about 857. Any one been and seen the water conditions? Is it muddy? Are there a bunch of floaters?
  9. Have you gone to their site to see which are compatible with your unit?
  10. Mine are all 3 1/2" and any color combination that I want as I make my own.
  11. Depends on where you are located. If anywhere close to Reed Springs call Bill at JWM Trailer Sales.
  12. Rain would help more than anything else.
  13. So do how you heat your jig heads? Do you hold them with the pliers or hemos while you are heating them?
  14. If you hold the jig by the hook eye with needle nosed pliers or hemostats you won't get any paint on the eye either and don't have to use the shrink tube. The Teflon pins are the way to go. You can leave them in the head while you bake the paint on them just pull them out when you take the jigs out of the toaster oven.
  15. Yes he was. You have to keep your fish separate or identifiable from any one else's fish. Theirs weren't. You can only give fish to another person after you have finished for the day. It is part of their possession limit not daily creel. You also have to give them your name address and license number along with the fish.
  16. wrench you might want to check on the rules for giving fish to another person. There is more to it than just giving fish away.
  17. Where is this place? Is it on the lake someplace or down around Branson? I've never heard of it.
  18. The water is open right now and the ramps and parking lots are clear. I drove around the southern part yesterday. There was a little ice in coves and Maize and Turkey were frozen up by the bridges but the main lake was open every where I went.
  19. I haven't seen him launch but I've seen Bob Bennett let his float around while he gets the truck. Then he brings it back and loads it up.
  20. There have been trout down by the dam for a long time. One cove in particular on the north side used to give up a few when we were fishing tournaments in the spring.
  21. What size piece and where are you located?
  22. I built my fluid bed several years ago and use it every time I paint jigs. If you only heat the jig head 'till it coats a fine dusty powder (not a slick finish), hold the head by the eye and give it a quick swish through the paint, you won't get any paint in the eye and the paint will be thin enough so there won't be any runs when you bake it.
  23. I don't have birds but I do have units with the 83/200 kHz transducers. The 83 will give you a wider cone than the 200. I like to keep my trolling motor on one frequency and my console unit on the other one to minimize interference. The 200 kHz has a cone angle of 20° while the 83 kHz is 60°. You can see more water with the 83 but can be more spot on with the 200. If you want to get into math the way to figure the coverage is the tangent of 1/2 of the cone angle. I know for the 200 it is approximately a circle with the diameter equal to 1/3 of the depth. So if the water is 30' deep you would be seeing a 10' circle at the bottom. I haven't figured it on the 83 but it will be a lot bigger. I don't drop shot any more so I can't help you there. Experiment with both frequencies to see which works best for you.
  24. I can understand why. I got their flyer 3 times. There was nothing in there that I'd walk across the street to buy let alone drive to Springfield. A lot of their "special deals" are just regular prices.
  25. If your boat brand is still in business they may have replacement skins for the bench. Karen Gibbs in Republic has done work for me and some of my friends. We have been satisfied with her work. A couple of years ago she did a truck seat for me. It looked like a factory job when I got it back.
