  1. My guess is they will stay the same of go a bit deeper. I'll know more after Wednesday.
  2. You are welcome Dave. Scott has been in the business since he was just a kid working with his dad.
  3. I tried a bunch of fluros and tossed them. I use braid and mono. I like light line so I use nothing more than 12# mono but do use up to 50# braid and rarely use a leader.
  4. Good sounding trip hat. SOOO 21 keepers, I assume someone was with you. Nope not out. Honey do and go weekend. I won't be out before Wednesday if I am lucky.
  5. You can't go wrong with a jig in cold water.
  6. I was in the boat and wakes came close to going over the bow. The bite was good but hard to feel. We wound up with 2 limits of keepers and some toothies.
  7. Since you didn't go by the launch were you bank fishing today?
  8. No there aren't any of those kind of regs. In the campgrounds people are encouraged to put their remains in the lake and not in the dumpsters. I sometimes put fish in a bucket, park the boat in the parking lot and go back to the bank and clean my fish because, like you, I have no place to put the guts except behind my neighbor's house and he prolly wouldn't like that very much.
  9. Gary the crappie on Stockton have been really good. I have been limiting in less than 3 hours. They are on ledges and points at 28'. 27 is too shallow and 29 too deep. Big T and I'll be at Rouark on Wed. He has no fish in the freezer and we are looking for 30 keepers.
  10. Where is your lake property? One thing you should know is sometimes you can't buy a bite in one river arm and they are going crazy in the other one. GO THUNDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. They were from 25 on down.
  12. I was in the Rouark area today. It was a might breezy but the specs bit real good till the wind blew me off my point.
  13. I have used a Dremel but I get better results by taping a piece of wire where I want the guard then I gently compress the mold in a vice until I get the desired effect. Sometimes it takes more than one size of wire.
  14. I haven't used bear hair but have used craft hair. It works well. For that type of jig I use molds that are not made for weedguard. I make slots for wg in the mold and mold short piecies of wire into the heads. That way I can powder coat the heads and bake the paint on. Before tying I pull the wire out so it is not in the way while I tie the jigs. When they are all tied up, I glue in my weedguard which is usually a coated steel leader.
  15. Yep I was wondering whether it was a hard top or convertible. I was on three different roads to and from Stockton yesterday and did not notice anything red on any of them, but I wasn't looking for Mustangs.
  16. I've been out for them a few times this fall. They aren't in the normal places. When we find them it is only on a very short stretch of bank.

    Turnover

I imagine that is the stuff coming up from the depths that has decayed. I haven't been there for a while but for the next month or so it will be my only place to fish. I hope the turnover is done and the smell is gone when I get there next week.
  18. green pumpkin and pumpkin seed
  19. Last week I found them on main lake points. Craw crank was the best.
  20. Have you tried WD-40? You can call Scott or Brad at Marine Repair Center in Springfield and get a good answer. 417-833-9191
  21. I don't follow college ball all that close but watched to see the kid from Hillcrest. By and large it looked like boys among men today.
  22. It would help to know the size of the suits.
  23. I use Totally Awesome and my wife's tooth brush.
  24. This is the time of year I use a lot of spinnerbaits and crankbaits.
