    Thanks for the tips guys. However my fishing partner is more interested in the Rock so I guess we'll hit it Friday instead of Stockton. Bob I've caught a lot of eyes out of Hartley but I can't remember even 1 from Googer. I'll have to try it some time.

    WOW Bob That is a heck of a deal. If I had glass skills, I'd buy it in a heart beat. I'm betting a little TLC and some serious coin could be made here.

    Since the green fish didn't cooperate with me, I been thinking about jigging a spoon for white fish and toothy critters. Have any of you been doing that? I have a few places that produced the last time I did that but it has been over a year. If some one can give me an approximate depth I'd be very appreciative.

    That clunk sound is more than likely a worn out actuator. That same thing happened to me. I had the system checked and everything was fine except the actuator. A new actuator solved the problem.

    Nope nxs. I wasn't within 1/2 mile of it. I fished from the mouth or Turkey to High Point.

    The easiest way I know to find musky is to buy a really expensive jerk bait and use it. I've caught several there by accident, never on purpose.

    nxs I made the wrong decision all day long. We were seeing bait fish and larger fish on the sonar and down scan screens. Most of them were 10-20' deep so I rarely had a bait more than 20'. We mostly used jerks and bamas.

    Well we went to the dam area and fished till lunch. Water clarity was pretty good. Not a bite on anything. We loaded and had lunch in the truck on the way to Cedar Ridge. We fished there in quite off colored water that was 45° but still no bites.

    I'll be looking for some green fish. I'm planning to put in at the lower end for clearest water (jerks and A rigs). I've been out of state for a while so I have no idea what is going on. Is there anything I should know except that the lake is still about 10' above power pool? Wow sorry for the double post. My cursor was jumping all over the place and I couldn't tell if it posted or not and I see not way to delete it.

    Just after the big white bass die off back in 02 we would catch some at the mouth of Cedar Creek nearly every outing. While the whites were plentiful, we only ever caught 1. Since the whites have made sort of a come back, we don't catch them any more.

    I have been running Optima Blue tops for 4 years. I pull a heavy glittersled with a MG TE 82. They have never showed any sign of weakening during the day not matter how windy it is.

    I've go a new rod and lots of baits that I am making so I'm thinking when there is a ramp with a courtesy dock available I'm on it.

    When the Mississippi goes down and LOZ and Truman drop, I'd bet they increase before spring rains but that is just my guess.

    The water color at Rouark was dingy but down by the day it was pretty clear. I'm bustin' a gut to wet a line but I really didn't see a place that I want to launch my boat until the water comes down some. I didn't see much floating debris but I'm sure the feeder streams has a lot that may still make the main lake. NXS I'm sure glad I decided to go back to Spfld. via 32/13 instead of 123.

    Most everything looked like the launch at Crabtree. The water is in the parkinglot pit toilet at Rouark. The campground roads are covered at Rouark and Crabtree. The launch ramp at Rouark and Crabtree are in the parking lot. The launch ramp at the Stockton side is under water as I couldn't see it anywhere.

    There is lots of water every where you look. I stopped by Rouark, Stockton public use and Crabtree Cove.

    I fished both sides today. The big Sac gave up 3 two of which were keepers. The little Sac only gave up 2 one of which was a keeper. Guess I should have stayed in the big Sac. The only bait I could get a bite on was a green worm in 15-20 fow.

    justfishing, back to your original question about winter fishing. I can usually find bass shallower than 30'. Saturday the ones I caught were in 10-15 feet of water. Crappie I normally find in less than 35 fow but I catch walleye out to 50 fow.

    Oh I think I'll just take mine and fly it around the lake to see if there are any surfacing fish. That way I won't burn so much gas.

    That lake can be tough. The crappie I have been catching are from 25-33' deep.

    I found 47° to 50° around Rouark a few days ago. It's prolly warmer now.

    So have I but don't really plan to do it again. I like to pick my days not let the calendar pick me and I've never really been that tough anyhow.
