  1. I don't have birds but I do have units with the 83/200 kHz transducers. The 83 will give you a wider cone than the 200. I like to keep my trolling motor on one frequency and my console unit on the other one to minimize interference. The 200 kHz has a cone angle of 20° while the 83 kHz is 60°. You can see more water with the 83 but can be more spot on with the 200. If you want to get into math the way to figure the coverage is the tangent of 1/2 of the cone angle. I know for the 200 it is approximately a circle with the diameter equal to 1/3 of the depth. So if the water is 30' deep you would be seeing a 10' circle at the bottom. I haven't figured it on the 83 but it will be a lot bigger. I don't drop shot any more so I can't help you there. Experiment with both frequencies to see which works best for you.
  2. I can understand why. I got their flyer 3 times. There was nothing in there that I'd walk across the street to buy let alone drive to Springfield. A lot of their "special deals" are just regular prices.
  3. If your boat brand is still in business they may have replacement skins for the bench. Karen Gibbs in Republic has done work for me and some of my friends. We have been satisfied with her work. A couple of years ago she did a truck seat for me. It looked like a factory job when I got it back.
  4. That is cool. Hows bout someone tossing an A rig out there.
  5. Check out BOE Marine. They have some really good units in your price range and most of them will be shipped free. Check the Low. HDS Gen 2 Touch 7 for example. I've bought quite a bit of stuff from them. No one else has been able to even match them when I have been shopping.
  6. So do you have any left? If so can you post a pic. Someone may see it and offer to produce a few for you.
  7. I went last year. They had a lot of different things. Lots of guns and various bait vendors with a couple of cases full of used reels. I wound up getting a Popsnagger.
  8. So is this guy going to be looking at some serious federal sanctions?
  9. Wow. They better get it done before the spring rains begin.
  10. Wow that just lowered my estimated value.
  11. I just looked at my maps in the boat and I have one for Upper Bull Shoals. Can't put a fair price on it since is now a valuable collectors item. What do you have that you'd want to trade? I could look around. I may know some others who have them.
  12. I know nothing about the first reel listed but I am a Curado fan. I have had them of various versions for about 20 years. I don't have the latest. I have the E and G series. I don't trade up real often but when I do, I have always been able to sell my used ones for the same amount that I paid for them new.
  13. Overton's may have something that you'd like.
  14. You can take your yak and fish all the way around the island. There is no telling what you might catch. I've caught LMB, SMB, SPOTS, EYES, WHITES and even a few WHITE DRUM around there. There are also some brush piles in the middle of the east end. You never know what's going to be in the quarry, sometimes crappie, sometimes whites, sometimes smallies. PM me your name and address and I'll mail you some baits that have worked for me.
  15. Shouldn't be frozen with all this warm weather we've had lately.
  16. I just want to know where the hat in video 3 came from.
  17. I haven't been lately but they should be in the big schools of shad in the Little Sac Arm by now.
  18. I carry lots of colors and sizes. My favorite is the one they bite best. Last time it was a brown/green with a paca craw trailer.
  19. I have bought several pounds from Pro Tec.

    Tattoos

I can barely stand a flu shot let alone a bunch of punches. I believe I'd try acupuncture for my bad knees before a tat.
  21. Is this tournament big enough to draw the top fishermen from all over or will it be mostly regional entrants?
  22. Don't know but want to. If you find out post back please.
  23. You might want to check out BOE marine's web site and see what they have on closeout. They normally beat any other deal I can find.
  24. It would do as well as any other boat. I use a 21' fiberglass when I fish there.
  25. You can do a lot of shopping right on your puter. Look up Tracker, G III, Lowe, Xpress just to name a few. See the floor plans, storage, motor capacity, seating arrangements, etc. There are a lot of options out there. I will make 2 suggestions: 1. Don't under power the boat, and 2. Get a good 24v trolling motor in at least the 70# thrust range. You can always back off on power but you can't squeeze more out of an undersized unit.
