  11. If you are after crappie under the lights, like others said use live minnows. I usually use 3 rods with light wire hooks and a split shot about a foot above the hook. I set one down 6' below the surface the 2nd 8' down and the third 10' down. Usually one of those depths get hit and I set the other two to that depth, if that doesn't work I go 2' off the bottom on 1 rod and 2' above with each of the two other rods. Stockton or Pomme have always been much better for me than the Rock but I have had times when you could get a limit of large crappie at TR in a short time. A great time for sure with good friends.
  12. I may be wrong, but what I replied to was locked storage being broke into...not stuff that was left out for all to take. Still who would view something in someone's boat as being fair game? I have never walked onto any dock that is not public, and I certainly do not believe that if something is left there that it is mine because it's not locked up. People stealing from docks in broad daylight will only get more brazen and start looking to the house up from the dock.
  13. No punishment for a thief? It's your own fault if something is stolen from you? No wonder society is a such. Glad the individual in Springfield who had his house broke into the other day defended himself and his family, probably his fault the broke into his locked home.
  14. Caving in to those who are too lazy to work for things is not a long term solution...The point is if you own something it should not have to be hid to keep trash from taking it. If those who are caught stealing faced deadly repercussions for their actions the problem just might disappear.
  15. That is probably dead on true...Don't know what the solution is. If they do get caught, they do very little time do to overcrowding in the prison systems. These people have no moral code so any punishment they receive, does little good. Maybe we need laws of Mid East and chop hands off the thieves. Sitting in jail for a few months does nothing to stop them...they will always be too lazy to earn a living and more than willing to steal from those who do.
  16. My luck too.... Just a shame this stuff is so rampant that it is worth the risk for a thief to feel comfortable enough to do it in the view of everyone in daylight.
  17. Thanks for a very detailed report....someday soon work will let me fish and give a report of my own.
  18. It's a shame that people that spend their hard earned money for something they enjoy have to defeat the purpose of why they bought a dock in the first place because worthless trash are too lazy to work and buy it for themselves. The Gov. Should make it a law to shoot to kill thief on site...everybody wins, dead thief and no lock up charge or trial cost for law abiding citizens. Remove trash from this earth.....
  19. The holidays always seems to bring out the idiots and a**holes.
  20. Lol.....maybe the corp should put a shovel at every ramp. That would be a good use of our launch fees.
  21. Very nice! Congrats on the catch.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
  23. I have the HDS 8 (original) and the elite 7 and couldn't be happier with them. I guess I have been lucky because I have never owned anything but Lowrance and have never had any trouble with them.
  24. Congrats to all the young men who fished it...
