  9. Maxima in my opinion is the softest, strongest, most castable and least memeory mono I have ever found. I have been fishing it since the late 80's and have never had a problem. So when using mono I chose it and nothing else. I use Seagar Invizex Floro for most everything 15lb jig spinnerbaits, 10lb cranks 8lb. shakey jerkbaits. Braid for topwater and A-rig
  10. Does your fiance have a single sister, with a boat and labrador?

  13. Iam currently using a TFO Temple Fork Outfitters rod that I really am falling in love with, easy on the pocket book $100 designed by Gary Loomis and really sensitive. I am using 15lb flouro and this rod i feel everything, even if a fish breaths on it.LOL Lifetime warranty cant be beat.
  14. I caught one on a jigging spoon that was on a bluff wall under a cloud of baitfish in 35 fow suspended at about 18' about 5 lb channel cat was a blast till I figured out it was a catfish.

  22. Fished Saturday and had a great day. Started out on a point with spinnerbait caught 2 keeps 14" on pea gravel then down bank towards the back of a cove with a transition to chunk then to softer type of bank, changed to square bill caught 2 more keeps. had that by 8:30. Tried to alternate between blade and crank fished around same type of banks till 10:30 or so and pitched a few docks nothing there. Moved to a steeper bank but fished shallow still in 10' or less throwing to bank. or at 45 to the bank. The sun came out and the shad started surfacing, I threw thru the shad it took lots of casts to get bit but when you did it was quality fish. I caught 2 musky, very hateful fish kept trying to bite me and all i wanted was my crank bait back. I fished the rest of the day till 3:00 on the crank bait and up graded my fish. I ended day with 12 keeps, 4 that weights 5lbs combined, 4 that weighted 8lbs combined and my best 4 weight out at 11 lbs combined. 4fish limit in tourney.
  23. Keith or Larry I would love to help you that weekend but I am already fishing the BASS Federation tourney that same weekend, but I would love to help out in the future. If you have an e-mail list that I can be on or call list so as to hear about future events. Or if you just have a person needing a ride to fish not in a tourney I would be greatfully willing to help out our service men and women get out on the water for some fun R&R. Thanks for Caring about those defending our right to live free. THANKS TO ALL VETERANS FOR SERVING TRRANGER
  24. I can tell you from experience with cold natured mercury two strokes an Optima is the only way to go. They are lighter and hold more amps and are leak free. They recover faster when drained. I run 2 humminbird hd depthfinders lights areators and fish all night and all winter and never has mine failed to start. They are the best batteries I have ever used. I start a 175 mercury black max with ease. IMHO you will not be unhappy with the even though they are pricey, but make sure you get the starting battery D34M or 34M blue tops for starting applications.
  25. If you are just getting started you might call Ty and Anglers Edge in Ozark. He gives casting lessons and teaches fly tying and is an all around nice guy who would be happy to help you learn and makes learning fun. 581-fins(3467).TR
