Fished at Bush wild life area today. Caught fish on my first 6 casts at this spot. All were small and pretty! Caught 15 or so and none were over 12". Pulling in a few big browns were following.

Work is proceeding pretty well. Hit a snag with the curbing along the road. NPS is saying it has to come out and it is 4 feet deep. The National hwy dept (or something like that) is doing the road work and has said they will pay to take it out. Work is still expected to be done by Christmas The concrete wall removal and grading is complete.

Floods like we had earlier this year will just straighten out the river at Baptist.

Yep The contractors have done a great job so far not muddying up the river. The sub contractors are local and dont want to screw it up.

They are returning the area to a gravel bar. Why would a silt fence be required? The park service even gave them a permit (waiver).

They are tearing out the concrete work and putting in new roads and parking.

Supposed to be done in 90 days. Contractors say they will keep access open but it might be a long haul for you boats.
