This one should probably go in Pete’s Restaurant review thread (if Pete ever starts one) Went to a new Cajun Restaurant from The east coast (believe it or not), called Hook and Reel. It’s on Chippewa and Kingshighway. Excellent Fresh seafood that comes boiled in a plastic bag to your table, or fried. They take it out of the bag table side and basically dump it in your plate. The bag has several extremely good sauces to pick from. They just opened like 3 weeks ago and are building 2 more in St. Louis. One in the county somewhere and Kirkwood I believe. Not too pricey either. Let’s hope it doesn’t become like all another restaurants who’s quality control continues to decline.

Since my parents passed, I now have dinner with my wive’s family for Thanksgiving with traditional Chinese food. This year traditional American.

Dry brine for me this year. I’m hearing it makes the skin crunchier and has a more concentrated flavor. Kind of like Espresso vs coffee.

This is a topic that quite frankly scares the heck out of me. I’ve seen folks use a drone in the ocean to spot schools of feeding fish. I’ve seen folks use drones to fly Their bait out and practically drop it in a fish’s head. But this technology is hardly well regulated and I’m seeing lately some potentially hazard and or lethal applications. This is something that needs to be addressed fairly quickly.

That and playing in cold water creek in my youth absolutely NEVER affected my 1.8 GPA in high school!
