  1. But great memories!!!
  2. But it looks like bacon 🥓 😂
  3. Sorry Wrench, couldn’t resist!😂
  4. Finally got a chance to go fishing for a couple of hours. Fishing was a little slow for a while, then hooked up with a big spotted bass on the bigger Hi-Def craw. Turned out to be my personal Best Spot.
  5. Nice Fish Matt!
  6. I’m guilty of being a little lazy in that situation. I need posts like this to remind me to inform my wife before I go.
  7. Denial aint just a river in Egypt
  8. So what was the biggest trout and what was used to catch it?
  9. beautful pic! Black labs have a special place in my heart
  10. That’s the only river (Salt) in Missouri where I’ve ever seen very large live mussels. We are talking 6” in diameter size, and lots of them. I’m wondering why other Ozark streams don’t have them that big?

  14. Keep in mind your post count and like count is in serious jeopardy!😂 remember goodness and kindness always prevails!
  15. It is in demand now, it “used” to be and it still is, just changed with new technology. And Stein still can’t find enough good help. I’m in machine shops almost 5 days a week....same story everywhere.
  16. Bo, now what are you going to do with all your extra time? 😜
  17. These sophisticated 3, 4, and 5 axis machine tools still require a skilled person to program the CAM software. Also, there needs to be annual recalibration with a laser and skilled people do that. Yes, it’s more automated but the need for skilled people won’t go away anytime soon.
  18. Yes, nobody is filling by the void of the retiring skilled tradesmen. It’s not cool enough anymore
  19. Dang! He’s good!
  20. The problem with said flowage is that they generate so abruptly and often that you could literally have 8-9 foot rise in one day and back down to darn near nothing the next day. And I never got hold of a reliable phone number to ask. Too unpredictable for me.
  21. Here is an example of a smallmouth next to a very much spotted bass like hybrid. This is an extreme example. The fish on the right probably has more spot genes than smallmouth. But those spot like features are there and they obviously get more faded as their smallmouth gene percentage increases.
  22. In 1979 I got hired by Emerson Electric on West Florissant as a machinist for $6.50 per hour. I worked one day and they sent me home because they found out I wasn’t 18 years old yet. One month later they brought me back. I left after 1.5 years and went to McDonnell Douglas as a machinist. Started at $10.25 an hour in Nov, 1980. Went out on my own in ‘95.
  23. A-Rig, A-Rig, A-Rig!!!! 😂 Whopper Plopper, Whopper Plopper, Whipper plopper!! 😂 Ned Rig Ned rig Ned rig We fishermen go thru our phases, don’t we? great thing is they all work!
  24. I usually use Yozuri hybrid which is a copolymer. But lately because of this very clear water, I’ve been using Seagaur InvizX. It has a pretty smooth surface finish, which reduces the friction, (and therefore heat) that is created when cinching the knot. This equates to not as much damage and more strength. It’s also very supple for a 100% fluorocarbon. It does have a little more stretch than I like but overall seems pretty good.
