  1. It's a good start Cheif!
  2. You forgot about suicide hill
  3. So I guess Spider monkeys are out of the question?
  4. PM me and a buy a few of the new originals
  5. What's the difference, if any, between a new original and the standard Wiggle Wart you buy off the shelf today?
  6. TrophyFishR, you have any more for sale?
  7. That lure seems to make the fish go WTF????? And come up to take a look more than about any lure I've ever seen.
  8. All of the above work well, I think the biggest factor with WTD lures is the action you impart. The size is a big factor too, zippin Ziggy for a small profile works great. For a med profile I like the KVD or popper/walkers. The bigger profile the Super spook, bigger Sammy's, and the KVD.
  9. Man, I wish I had a dozen that looked like that!!!
  10. What about night time jerk baits, always works for big browns! even when no generation
  11. Nice fish lefty!
  12. Dutch is right, a dremel tool works great. What I have done before is buy a weedless football head mold from Do-it and cover up the weedguard slots with hi temp JB Weld and sand it flat on each side. Then I take a hack saw blade and make a slit in the JB Weld for a wire weedguard, works like a champ. I just don't care for brush weedguards on the river.
  13. Overall I think it's a great idea. There are many things to consider, and I agree with much of what Dutch says. A garage lure maker will end up spending too much time making lures for what they're worth. If I calculated how long it takes for me to make a crawfish or jig, I would have to charge $5 a piece and no one would pay that. How much is your time worth? I think it might be good to have kind of a "Swap Shop" section. Where you can trade out lures.
  14. Thanks for posting Phil, nice video
  15. Yeah, they will bust you big time for that. During the summer they use binoculars from the hillside to spy
  16. Lefty- I loved Bud's arctic fox hair jigs! but unfortunately they are out of business. Still have a few. I use arctic fox when making my hair jigs and pour my own head. I bought twenty or so from John at bullseye when they went out of business. Arctic fox is great but doesnt last too long.
  17. Well, my three year old uses Costco wipes. I mean you and I buy our wipes in large quantities man! Oh yea.....Current river, great place to fish!
  18. No worries Joe, ( although if you know anything about the most comfy wet wipes please let me know). I feel old and very mediocre most of the time now. The one thing that keeps me going is the 3 year old that latches tightly on my leg and thinks I'm cool (poor kid). Keep up the irony!!! Actually I love it!
  19. Truer words couldn't be said!! Makes you wonder why the same guys that complain about people not posting pictures and naming streams also complain about a stretch of river getting used too much. But that's just me, I'm a little slow.
  20. Well, if we can't fish....what's a fellar to do in his spare time???? Make jig heads!
  21. No, Him and Karl Hungus are traveling the world looking for used Ugly Sticks! miss him too
  22. They had the Manns on sale at Dick's for less than $5
  23. I scanned some hulls for them, they gave me the boat and trailer, had to pay for the motor and mounting, but I got it at their cost.
  24. Funny Bass Pro story. A few years back I was in the process of selling Tracker Marine 100K worth of laser scanning equipment to help design their new hulls. It was down to me and my main competitor. I was trying to connect a little with the buyer and the plant manager, so I told them that I was a fisherman, thinking it would strike up a conversation. Well, the first thing they asked was what brand of boat do I have. Uh Oh, I told them it was an Xpress...they both looked at the floor. Yikes, I then told them the boat was given to me for services rendered at the Xpress factory. Well, I won the order anyway
  25. My buddy went out a couple of days ago, water temps 34 degrees, 10-12 ft visability, fished for hours with ZERO strikes. Saw a nice group of largemouth from 2-4 lbs...none of them would even look at the lure. We need a warm rain!!!! A rain that just washes the snow down will just cool down the river even more!
