I think I've taken one bite of squirrel in my life.
Same with a coon.
Never taken a toke of pot.
Never done any non prescription drugs
Never ate a possum
Never eaten brains
Have eaten both pig and cow guts though
Have eaten chickens feet
Eat cows tail monthly
eaten pigs feet.
Have eaten fish eggs, sushi of all types.
I’m speculating the name of the hole and I’m also speculating who the friends were. I think I know the answer to both of those questions. 😂
* Ive been wrong before 😜
Got a great story about Alton Jones. Rick LaPoint and I fished a tourney up at Lake Erie in Detroit back in 2002. Alton Jones was the MC of the event. He was so cordial and introduced us to his family one by one. Rick and I ended up winning 3rd place. At the award ceremony, there was going to be a drawing for a brand new Skeeter boat. Alton’s little girl, who was probably 7 or 8 at the time, reached her hand in for the drawing. We were boat 6 and I immediately noticed she was looking at the ticket she just drew for the winner. She was turning it upside down to try to figure out what the number was. I knew then it was either a 6 or a 9. Alton. Asker her on the microphone what was the number, she said 6!!. We won the boat! Man were we happy campers.
Well obviously I would try to find a small spring somewhere. My buddy who is my winter fishing guru told me that it seems you find about one good winter hole per mile. Also something I’ve learned over the years is that the fish are on the other side of the hole. I would always focus on the deep rocky side, then I found out that many times the bigger smallmouth are on the slightly shallower sandy bottom log jam side.
I do but I just use Costco EVOO, Gundry’s stuff is too expensive...plus, once you buy it, telemarketers call you for a refill. I do feel a bit better yes, not a dramatic change, but I do feel better. I think a lot of it has to do with a more Mediterranean diet though.
