  1. Figured I was due for a report as I've been slacking with the high heat and high water. Got out this morning in the monsoon. Raining HARD! Water tempts between 79-83. Bushes still in 28FOW. Started throwing a buzzbait and spinnerbait shallow. About an hour and only a 10 in kentucky to show around a dock. Moved out deep rotating points. Found a couple productive ones. Fish seemed to either be just outside the deepest bushes or in the last bushes on the drop. One point gave up 9 keeper kentuckies. Several small browns as well. Fished mostly from 25 to 35ft. Jig, Swimbait, Dropshot. Usual suspects.
  2. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Luck-E-Strike_Rick_Clunn_STX_Jerkbait/descpage-LKRCSTK.html Just thought I'd post this up since I know alot of folks throw these... Good Price at under 6 bucks per bait.

  4. What happened? Weigh in problems?
  5. Yeah we're not even close to that average right now. Looks like a little over a foot a week.
  6. Has anyone heard what the schedules are for these? I tried looking on there websites and could only find the 2014-15 schedule.
  7. Sorry it took so long to reply. The bride and I took a weekend fishing trip to Dardanelle. We decided we had fished enough high water for a while. To answer your question. I'm sure there is a name for the creek/cove, but basically I ran way back into the right fork of spring creek near the last set of docks. Went way back up in there past where the old rock wall is at low water. There were baitfish everywhere flitting on the surface. Saw some gar swirling and porpoising. Not a bass to be found. Threw the buzzbait for a while. Ran back out and fished a few main lake points but to be honest my head wasn't really into it for whatever reason and after about an hour I called it good. I'm sure everyone has had one of those days. Go to all the work to get out there only to decide there is somewhere else you'd rather be, or should rather be doing. I was graphing quite a few fish suspended about 25-30 along bluffs but who knows what they were. Tried feeding them the spoon down and nothing. Talk in the tackle shop the other day was a few folks were coming in buying a bunch of 10 inch powerworms catching a good number of shorts in the shallows. No big ones though.
  8. Put in at spring creek for what it's worth. Water had around 8ft clarity I'd say.
  9. I was out the other day for a few hours. I was the only one I saw the whole time and I know why. Not a bite for me. There are submerged bushes all along the shoreline down to about 30ft still. Lotta places for them to hide. Water was around 86. That was Monday before this cooler weather hit
  10. Love hearing scuba reports. Puts things in a totally different perspective compared to your average fishing report.
  11. Thanks for the report. At least the lakes dropping!
  12. Always enjoy these updates. Is there any indication that smallmouth eat the zebras?
  13. Hey all, I'm trying to complete my collection of white and blue bull shoals maps. I have found several copies of the mid and lower bull shoals in tackle shops around there area but still trying to find the upper. If anyone has one they'd be interested in parting ways with thats collecting dust I'd be happy to trade something for it or pay a reasonable amount. If your not sure what I'm referring to, here is a link from a previous thread about it I made a few months back. Thanks!
  14. Motor guide?
  15. There is still plenty of space left to launch at the gravel launch in big creek. Put in there yesterday for a 6 hour trip. Caught about 15 all browns and greens, no kys. Still caught a few in the bushes, but had my best luck deeper. Best was a 3.5lbs smallie. Also had a largemouth about the same size. It had a 5pounder head with a 3 pounder body... Lakes high but the fish are still biting. I had one spot the size of a pick up truck I caught 6 smallies off of in about 20fow.
  16. Took 11.8 to win theodosia derby Saturday with 20 boats. Took 25 and change over two days for the central pro am I just read.
  17. Went out 3 days last week. A lot of stuff working ok. Nothing working great. Buddy caught a 24" walleye on a jerkbait. Caught 7 short walleye all on 6xd in shad colors. ALL on points in 13 to 18fow. Can catch a few largemouth in the bushes early. Smallies on same pattern as Walters. Added in a drop shot in same areas for numbers usually shorts. Not seeing many Kentuckies between Pontiac and theodosia where I've been fishing.
  18. Corp forecast it to crest at 667.0 on May 23rd.
  19. Nice job sounds like a fun day.
  20. Btw. To Whoever took a dump literally on the spring creek boat launch. ATLEAST WALK OVER TO THE BRUSH. COME ON MAN!!! Gross. I thought it was an animal but they left the tp and all. No wonder the parking spot was still available when I pulled in.
  21. I'll be there. I've already been practicing my excuses for not catching them when standing around the weigh in. A bad batch of line. Sun screen in my eyes. All my spots covered up. Forgot to set my drag. An eagle grabbed my kicker when it jumped. I'm sure I'll have more by tomorrow afternoon. White nitro red black strip merc 150.
  22. I'll be there. Flippin stick in hand
  23. Wish Mo and AR had share linker and stocked bass in our lakes
  24. I throw the 168 waver with a 76mh 7.1 reel and 65 braid with a 20lb floro leader. Have a 711h for bigger bait
