  1. Whats crazy is they still complain. greedy
  2. Keep the fuel system maintained religiously. If you have an issue with the injection pump its going to be a $12k repair.
  3. I am a claims adjuster for powertrain components. that time is just cam/lifters. engine is 36 hours.
  4. I wish. They may be better now but the labor is considerably higher now(30 plus, compared to 19.3)
  5. Unfortunately I cannot post proprietary company information on a public message board. What I can tell you is that I work for one of the biggest warranty companies in the country, and that the 2007 and up 5.3 gm engine with AFM has a much higher rate of failure than pre-07 engines. I can also tell you that chevy has a huge problem after 15 years still. You should consider yourself lucky, or maybe you change your oil more often than chevy recommends.
  6. If you buy one be dang sure you get some kind of warranty. The 5.3 engine has a terrible track record unless you program away the AFM lifters, and the 6l80e transmission is trash. the 8l90e is better.
  7. I figured it was pretty much a given that everyone knew this was an incredible sack of fish for this time of year.
  8. They taste great when they are 2lb or less. I could not see anyone eating a 7lb fish, it would be wormy
  9. Sounds like you have it planned out. I have a nucanoe classic that is 12ft, and I intend to take my son on a two day float next year.
  10. Sorry I didnt see the car topper portion. The one you posted would be great, and its plenty wide. You must be planning some pretty heavy packing to need that kind of capacity
  11. Check out Ghenoe's, they are set up for motors and very stable.
  12. how deep do these dive?
  13. Hey I will take what I can get.
  14. I take 40% credit since I had such great net skills, all while piloting the boat with the trolling motor🤣
  15. No I have an aluminum spoolgun.
  16. Rotary tool and stainless brush. Definitely wore ppe
  17. Got the hole welded. Not perfect but tremendously better than before. I'm thinking about welding a piece of 1/8" thick by 2" wide flat stock from there to the first rib to stiffen the bottom. Thoughts?
  18. Got the boat flipped and epoxy stripped off.
  19. Yup. I'll actually be using a spool gun for this job.
  20. Back side of the island at Buffalo city. The sun was in our eyes.
  21. Teardown completed and dented Hull hammered flat again.
  22. We thought the Hull was a skipping rock I guess.😂 The sun was in our eyes and I couldn't see that I was on the wrong side of the shoal. We went about 100 yards after hitting the first rock. It was a rough ride but we got zero rocks in the intake.
  23. Jigfest 2021 is a memorable one for sure. Thursday afternoon @JestersHK and I fished at norfork for a couple hours, and on his second cast caught a 20 inch cutty on 2lb test. Friday when I got back I fished at Buffalo city. I forgot to plug my trolling motor in and when I bent down to plug it in I bumped a log and fell in the river. Thankfully it was only waist deep and it was 70 degrees. I laughed for 5 minutes in the boat and caught a few small stockers. Saturday @Daryk Campbell Sr and I started at norfork because they were running 2 units. We fished until the battery died and then we packed up and headed to reds. Fishing was good until water from norfork reached us then it just shut down. We came back to Buffalo city and fished below the confluence and caught several fish then decided we wanted to try the other side of the island which ended badly. The sun glared in our eyes and we beached the boat and in the process knocked a sizable hole in the boat and ended the weekend. I still had a great time.
