Members ladykiller Posted December 12, 2008 Members Posted December 12, 2008 I got these pictures from a buddy at work who got them from one of his deer hunting buddies......."Check these out........these were taken from around Edina, MO east of Kirksville. And they say there aren't any in Missouri."
rainbow Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 I got these pictures from a buddy at work who got them from one of his deer hunting buddies......."Check these out........these were taken from around Edina, MO east of Kirksville. I think somebody must be pulling your pals leg.
Members ladykiller Posted December 12, 2008 Author Members Posted December 12, 2008 I don't doubt that...... just passing it along....
patfish Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Well, this is third hand info from my buddy Sherwood's Pops who does mucho volunteer work for the MDC at Powder Valley in STL. He took the pictures in for his MDC buddies to look at, this is the response.... Names deleted.... Sent this on to Tom XXX, Wildlife Specialist. In today, checked at Tom's office , he was out, but office pardner Scott XXXXX, Naturalist was in. Tom had shown the photo to him noting it was FALSE. Said while this one was imprint dated Oct '08, these photos have been floating around for over a year. Actually from one of the Dakota's or Montana. Specialist had analyzed some showing tree species not from Missouri, another a glimpse of a collar on one of the Cougars! Have been scattered claims from around the State of Cougars, some are investigated by MDC teams that follow up. There have been a few rare confirmed sightings. Cougars have migrated along Mississippi and Missouri River valleys into Missouri, and there have been some domesticated releases, -but few natural to the State. I'm to the point now where I believe nothing that is forwarded to me....
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 12, 2008 Root Admin Posted December 12, 2008 ladyliller- I've posted pics like this that I thought were legit just to find out they weren't what they seemed. Don't feel bad. Thanks for posting them.
Members ladykiller Posted December 12, 2008 Author Members Posted December 12, 2008 Not at all, I received the info I was looking for. If I was trying to pass them off as from a legitimate source it would be a different story, but I was skeptical of them and figured someone here would be able to dismiss their legitimacy. I will post some bigfoot pics from here in Jeff City tomorrow......
snagged in outlet 3 Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 I can't wait to see the bigfoot pics!!!! SIO3
slider Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Wish I had read the whole posts, I just emailed it to one of my old hunting buddys in ARK. WE used to hunt about 10or so miles from this spot in Gorrin MO. slider DONT EVER GIVE UP MOSES WAS A BASKET CASE ONCE!
CaptainT16 Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 From what I've heard on these pics, it's been confirmed that they were taken from a trail cam in the Black Hills of SD. Still a sight to see for sure. jdmidwest Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 If those were from Missouri, there would have been a black bear and an otter in the pic too. Kinda reminds me of the 10 ft rattlesnake with the grain bins in the background, a hoax also. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S.
