I am and so are most of us tired of hearing what someone caught in practice that they never weighed in, or for that matter, never really weighed on a certified scales but guess at.

I am also sick of hearing who designed this or that and how they fish it. Keep your mouth shut and just fish. Let your body of work speak for what you have done.

I am also sick and tired of hearing about the one that got away!!!

Here is a news bullitin. If it got off, "YOU DIDN'T CATCH IT'. You didn't have a chance at it, cause you didn't get it in the boat. It is the same as if it never bit. "PERIOD"...... It did not happen, you messed it up or it was not to be. Shut up and Fish.

In this FLW Bunch, I have never heard all the B-t---N about I had this or that on, and it got off. Bull-Pucky!!!! You didn't catch it and it does not count. I have caught 10'S of thousands of bass, more than most of these FLW Hero's that are fishing here, and I cannot tell you what the one that got off my line weighed before I even got it in the boat. I can't--you can't-- and they can't. If it got off, "IT DON'T COUNT". IS THAT CLEAR!!!

If you are fishing a derby or just fishing and you loose one, that is fishing. Keep your mouth shut and go about your business, don't say, I would be here or there if I had not lost a 6 pounder. That is perhaps the biggest bag of sour grapes you as a fisherman can spit out. "NEVER, AND I MEAN NEVER, SAY I WOULD HAVE DONE THIS OR THAT,BUT I LOST ONE AT THE BOAT.!!!!

This seems to be the FLW theme song. Very unprofessional.

This is getting to be super old news, and I for one am ready for them to go away.

For cripes sakes, Dave Barker and Tim Sainato had bigger bags that they weighed in today than the FLW dudes.

Walker, had a big day, and my congrats to him on one of the best days anyone has ever had on the rock, but now reality has sit in.

13 to 16 pounds a day, is what we catch here, on an everyday basis, reguardless of weather.

Walkers 26 was fun, but I'm tired of it now, lets go catch our own fish.

The Elite boys were fun. Can't say the same here.

You're right Bill. Everybody loses fish and you weigh in what you way in. I would have had more if I hadn't lost my big one, but other guys might have lost too big ones so...shut up already.

BUT I'm gonna call BS a little bit. I remember you citing the need for TR to be a healthy fishery for the sake of the local economy well those FLW and BASS tournies bring in a TON of money to the area. I've had those big tournys come to my home water and I know how annoying it is to have all your spots wrapped up and a lot of fish get sore mouthed. Tons of boat traffic and the fish feel the pressure to be sire. They'll be done in a little while and the fishing can get back almost to normal. They money they leave behind will help a lot of folks out plus the free publicity ain't bad either.

Still, I'm glad they are up there rather than down here. :D

Bill,

Dude, lay off the caffine, sounds like you have been hanging out with Techo at the coffee shop in Nixa.

Seriously, we all get sick of it at every weigh in at every derby from a club tournament to the BASS Elite there is always some pinhead that "would of won it if I wouldn't of lost that XX pounder at the boat". It's the nature of fishing, everyone has a story to tell eventhough we've all heard it before.

Lay down the Mochachino and remember how much fun you and Bill had (will have) taking our money on this pond....

Ham, you are exactly right. And I am very glad they came. In this economy they are a very nice boost for our area, and they bring very nice press to our wonderful lake and its fishery. You called it exactly right. ;)

Just a little tired of all the posturing and the woulda-couda-shuda's that these guys keep spouting.

This happens from the smallest club derbys to as we have seen here the Big Pay for Play Boys.

A fish that is caught in practice or one that got off while fishing a derby should never be mentioned in any context. It completely lowers the opinions of everyone around you about how you not only fish, but how you carry yourself.

It is not only bragadosious, but demeans the anglers that put their fish in the livewell, by saying, " I am better, and I had a better fish than you."

If it is not in the well, you didn't do squat!

This was just part one of my usual Spring Time Rant that I should press the delete button on.

As soon as I am again crowded out of some of my favorite fishing places that I thought I owned I will rant again.:lol::lol:

I do like the guy that goes up there with low numbers and tells you honestly he made a mistake, but gives his rationale for why he did what he did, or fished where he fished and moves on. We have all had days where we fish a certain area or a certain way and get back to the dock and hear other people slayed them doing this or that. I think that making no excuses is great, but as with any competitive sport you are always going to have the what if's. It is the ones that make no excuses that stand out, and usally end up close to the top by the end of the year.

I am starting to think we need to legalize marijuana around here! Now where did I put my double shot espresso?

If my post was offending, I did not intend for it to be. I only intended to tell people what I found out and how my day went on the water. In fact, I told that guy that you were the best around here with jerkbaits and he wanted me to try and get you to look at his bait. I don't do this for a living. I would be just as excited if I got to spend a day in the boat with you. I didn't want to go into the whole filming thing, cause that would really set some people off. I don't agree with how they filmed the part I seen, but I also see why they do it. I genuinly think that that bait will help some people.

I fished local in a BASS on Grand. In the weigh in cove Guido floated up next to me and dug threw his livewell and threw a 15 in fish back in the water. It was the only one he had. He told me it wasnt worth going up in front of Ray Scott and taking a ribbing and having Scott trying to drag a story out of him.
