Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
ollie Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Lake Taneycomo, lets here it for you! Man what a pig. Doesn't really surprise me though, everyone knows that lakes got 'em big "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 21, 2009 Author Root Admin Posted November 21, 2009 Last year, one of our guests caught a 25 pound brown while drifting PowerBait in the same area. Why does a large, old fish that probably only eats rainbows take a tiny bit of dough? Crazy, but it happens. This is what's cool about fishing... anyone has a chance, regardless of age or experience, to hook a big fish. Landing it is another thing though. That's where the stories begin --- 'the one that got away' stories. But this one didn't. So you can think and say what you will about this record being caught on Powerbait instead of a fly or crank bait but the simple fact is that these are only fish in the end... and it is just fishing... the playing field is once again leveled and hope is renew in the novice that it could happen to anyone. Great story... Congrats to Scott and his friends.
