Donna G Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Last year someone started a topic with this text "I know, I know, this might seem like a silly topic asking about fishing goals, but I'm a goal-oriented guy. So do any of you have something you want to improve on or perhaps fish a body of water you've never been on - maybe buy a boat or tackle? Let's hear what you'd like to see for yourself in the new year. Heck, even getting out of bed and getting in some fishing is a goal." The topic generated a lot of posts and was interesting and fun. Wanna do it again? Donna G "The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive, but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope."- John Buchan, 1915 I have one goal for this coming year, when it comes to angling... That is to become a better fly fisherman. Nothing real concrete there, but that's my goal.

techo Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 We hope to qualify for the AIA Championship this year and actually fish it! They changed it this year so might be even more of a challenge. We also are going to fish a few more lakes than Table Rock. Wouldn't it be fun to just plain wear out a few reels. Like to just go fishing a great deal more often! Good luck on everyone elses goals! Geoff Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Catch more carp Catch a muskie land a gar fish for more "wild" trout and all on the fly rod "When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all."
Micheal Kyle Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Well it is funny that you have brought this up I was just looking at my IGFA World Record Book. I have 5 fish that are very much in the reach around here. Thats my goal to set 5 more IGFA Line Class World Records. Heck one of them might be the All Tackle IGFA World Record. Michael To Know People Is To Know Thier Ways!
trout fanatic Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Fishing is relaxing to me, therefore my "goal" is to relax more often this year than I have in the past.
Randall Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Don't be afraid to set the bar high Michael... I say go for ten, two line classes per fish. Seriously though, what are you targeting? I'm gonna get the woman fly-fishing this year. Cute animals taste better.
