This morning, the camera has turned to cover the dam. Not many people fishing off of it. Saw some fish caught, early.

It has definately made Me "think twice" (about going somewhere else besides Bennett from now on).

I bet they really have a ball surveilling the campgrounds. Personally I like to have a say in who tags along with us on fishing or camping trips.

Recently I used my bank debit card to purchase some stuff that is "out of the ordinary" for me (scrapbooking supplies for my daughter) and the purchaes were not made ONLINE, they were made at stores in Osage Beach and Jeff city. Now suddenly I am getting spam ads through my business email for this type of product, which is a first. This new age data-mining crap might not bother the new generation....but it bugs the crap out of ME

Right on .... I totally agree. I've had enough of big brother watching me in my everyday life. When I want to get away and fish I don't need big bro. surveiling me. What are the purpose of the cameras? Maybe if they see a violator they dispatch an agent? I don't get it. Maybe they're looking for giggers, shufflers, snaggers, cheese ball fisherman in Zones 1 and 2, and cullers. PC

Personally I couldn't give a rats ^**. I like to pull it up on one of my monitors at work and let it run. It brings peace and tranquility to my day. Plus it makes me very jealous!!

Come on 3 weeks and you guys can watch me stripping above the dam!!

I kind of like having it. I was just going to post a question about what the crowds may be like there during the middle of next week. Now I can just check out the cam a couple of times and get a decent gauge.

Can you really make out who the person is from the camera? I can't even tell if it is a man or woman. I don't really think it is about surveillance at all. I guess maybe you could have a creepy employee doing something he/she shouldn't, but that seems as likely as some weirdo camping out in a tree along zone two. I mean they have agents watching and other fisherman watching you that can actually see who you are so what is the difference?

Now if they are using it for other purposes or scanning the campground and spying on things they shouldn't see then that is a completely different story, but I don't see anything sinister behind it at all. Solitude and privacy aren't really going to be possible at a trout park anway.

Personally, I think it is a way for people to stay in touch when they are stuck at work all day and dreaming of fishing. I like the concept and in fact I would like them to add an underwater camera too.
