Members Liv2flyfish Posted July 23, 2010 Members Posted July 23, 2010 Please keep an eye out for Kyles Kayak. BIG NEWS, Someone from the forum named Randy found Kyles kayak floating under the Hwy. 86 bridge and has it. He has the kayak and is returning to Michael this weekend. I know there were alot of you that were saddened by the theft of this heirloom. Michael has contacted me and told me to say thanks to all of you who were helping keep an eye out for his kayak. This is great news. Thanks again everyone. I am missing my Wooden Kayak that was made by Bill Jones in Blue Eye Mo. The Kayak is missing from Table Rock Lake near the HWY 86 Bridge Down by Breezy Point Cliffs. The Dock that the Kayak became missing from is also located neer Happy Hollow Resort and Williams Landing neighborhood. I am offering a reward for any information leading to the where abouts of my beloved wooden Kayak. My dad gave it to me before he died as a family heirloom and now its gone. I WANT THIS KAYAK BACK. Call Kyle @ 405-2554669 Location: Table Rock Lake I am an avid fly fisher. I love fishing the Ozarks and the White River watershed from the spring creeks to the tailwaters.
eric1978 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that. That's a beautiful kayak. Hope you get it back and the thief goes to jail for the rest of his life.
jdmidwest Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Hey, thats a sweet boat. Does the guy build them for sale?? If I run across that boat on a river I will hold him at gunpoint, I might even take it from him. That boat will stick out like a turd in a punch bowl. Watch out on Ebay and Craigslist, the thief may try to sell it. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
Members fisheye Posted July 24, 2010 Members Posted July 24, 2010 Post a bigger picture, Then everybody take the time to print it out and write Liv2flyfish telephone number on the back Keep your eyes peeled. JDMIDWEST, if I run across the boat, I just going to shot the sad sack of $hit
Smalliebigs Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Man that sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!, I hate to say it but that is becoming a common occurence on the Rock, I have had my boat broken into there twice in two years.Once they took my batteries, thats pretty pathetic. The second time they pryed my rod box open to find there was nothing in there, cost me about $300 to fix. I will shoot the next person screwing with my new boat, if I catch them in the act, count on it.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted July 30, 2010 Root Admin Posted July 30, 2010 Is this the kayak featured in this month's Both sides of the Bridge publication?
Members Liv2flyfish Posted July 30, 2010 Author Members Posted July 30, 2010 Is this the kayak featured in this month's Both sides of the Bridge publication? I'm not sure about that Phil. Kyle is just sick about the loss of his kayak. I just hope that all the good people who are on your forum will remember this kayak and call when they see it. I hope the person who took it get's caught and it is returned to Kyle without a scatch on it. What is "Both Sides of the Bridge"? I am an avid fly fisher. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted July 30, 2010 Root Admin Posted July 30, 2010 It's a local publication. I saw it yesterday on the front page - a kayak that looks exactly like it.
ness Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Sounds like we've got a clue already. But, before any of you guys shoot anybody, you may want to check things out a little. John
