jdmidwest Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 OK Ness, I'll just wing them a little. But I may have to have that boat myself.... Were we able to get a better pic. And I wanted some more info on the builder, I may give him some more business. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

And I wanted some more info on the builder, I may give him some more business. I don't have any more pics and I don't know anything about the builder of the kayak. I'm sure that if you call Kyle he can give you some info. Thanks for helping. I am an avid fly fisher. Members Liv2flyfish Posted October 29, 2010 Author Members Posted October 29, 2010 BIG NEWS, Someone from the forum named Randy found Michaels kayak floating under the Hwy. 86 bridge and has it. He has the kayak and is returning to Michael this weekend. I know there were alot of you that were saddened by the theft of this heirloom. Michael has contacted me and told me to say thanks to all of you who were helping keep an eye out for his kayak. This is great news. Thanks again everyone. I am an avid fly fisher. I love fishing the Ozarks and the White River watershed from the spring creeks to the tailwaters.
ness Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Glad it worked out, and glad you posted this. I hope JD sees this. John

flytyer57 Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Glad to hear that kayak was found. If it wasn't posted on this forum, it probably would never have made it back to it's proper owner. Bunch of great people out here on this forum to keep an eye out for it and be honest enough to return it. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
ollie Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Great news! Glad he got his yak back. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
Trout Commander Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Awesome! I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack
id10t Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Yahoo, I bet whoever took it got laughed at by his kayaking buddies because it was just an old wood boat. It just did not have the coolness factor of one of those sweet new plastic jobbers. Now where did I put the 6v spring top battery for my eveready flashlight.

Most folks will take the time to let you know the found what was lost. Paint Pens do wonders.
