KCRIVERRAT Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 If you don't want to read them then don't. I personally enjoy the posts that include detailed photo's or essay's from various indivituals whether it be from Bigs, Eric, Mr.Agnew, etc when it involves FISHING... Sounnd like you have a bit of a problem with people having positive results. After all, envy is a green eyed monster that seems to be all over you GreyBeard, and this is exactly yet another reason why I think the vast majority of people on this website are jealous douchebags with far too much time on their hands and they make it to where a person does not even participate on the forum, which is precisely what I'm doing now, checking out for good to go fish. And I know I'm not the only one that has THIS opinion, you know who you are out there. Seeya Bastards!!!! Hey there PEE! Settle down brother. You need to follow along bud! I'm wondering how old you are coming up with a catchy name such as yours? Are you mature enough to use the words "bastards" and "Mister Agnew" in the same post? Get out and fish... and post something worthwhile! In the meantime, continue penning songs for The Carpenters you wimp. Wait... oh crap! I liked them! Looking forward to either drowning ya or fishing with ya down the road... HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
jdmidwest Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I think this thread should have been titled, Why do some members just REPLY to posts and not post reports of their own.... How about that Obama guy, he admitted tonight that Bush may have did something right! "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

Outside Bend Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Can we leave the politics out of fishing??? No kidding. After seeing how some folks handle trivial differences of editorial opinion, I'd be nervous to see how they tackle actual, substantive issues... <{{{><
eric1978 Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 No kidding. After seeing how some folks handle trivial differences of editorial opinion, I'd be nervous to see how they tackle actual, substantive issues... It's actually pretty comical, and it's good for some laughs and shakes of the head. I'm always entertained by the amount of misinformation people have been spoon-fed, and happily regurgitate without even thinking. The only thing there is to be nervous about is the fact that their vote counts the same as yours. This thread is a trainwreck.
Smalliebigs Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I don't know what to tell ya Chief and I really could care less what you think of me or anyone else on here.I still think quit a few guys on here are full of jealousy and are legends in their own minds.I don't post pics on here anymore because of the pathetic attitude of some but, I still catch a hell of lot of smallies though.

Outside Bend Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I don't post pics on here anymore because of the pathetic attitude of some but, I still catch a hell of lot of smallies though. That really is a shame. I like to think one of the components of this sport is that it can be anything to anyone- I fish with folks who only target monsters, who shake off anything under 15". I have friends who love catching fish regardless of size. I fish with folks (like me) who can become completely engrossed with catching a single fish, regardless of whether it's ten or twenty inches. I fish with folks who fish to escape the so-called "real world." I fish with folks for whom fishing is an excuse to get out on a river, float a stream, and catch a buzz. I fish with folks who may make a dozen casts all day, spending the rest of their time snorkeling after darters and minnows and hellbenders and crayfish, digging up freshwater mussels or lamprey larvae, or poking at snakes or turtles in the streamside vegetation. Personally, I fish out of a curiosity for water and the organisms which inhabit that medium; I'm constantly delighted by the prospect of momentarily capturing an organism I'll never fully understand. It's all a matter of personal expression- any attempt at ranking or holding one facet above the sport above another is completely arbitrary. What I'm getting at is, simply, that no matter why you do it, it's all good. You don't have to embrace it, it doesn't have to be "your thing." Just understand it's the beauty someone else sees in the sport. Rant over. <{{{><
Al Agnew Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I'm thinking of just lying and saying the name of the first stream that comes to mind from now on. Or maybe I'll actually be telling the truth, but you only THINK I'm lying. Or maybe I AM lying, but you think I want you to think I'm lying so you think I'm telling the truth. I caught 'em all on the West Fork of the South Prong of Crooked Beaver Creek River. Or was it the Roubidoux in the middle of Fort Leonard Wood...I had to dodge gunnery practice and wear next generation camo and fit a silencer for my Sammy. Actually it was Crane Creek...those big smallmouth got that way by eating McCloud rainbows. Nope, it was Starlight Creek (for the Harry Middleton fans here). It was really a secret spring hole on the Mississippi. Or River Des Peres.
