Bman Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I seem to have a way with the ladies recently. Another 27 incher too. I saw the take! awesome! Thanks to Chuck Gries owner of Anglers and Archery, for his guide service this day. If you want to learn to catch big fish, book Captain Chuck. The only good line is a tight line
Leonard Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Nice,... is that the fly still in its mouth? http://www.taneycomonights.com
Bman Posted October 6, 2010 Author Posted October 6, 2010 Yes, that's what she took, sorry, not one of yours...(this time) The only good line is a tight line
laker67 Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Another great fish Bman. She appears to be dropping a few of her eggs. That was exactly what I made reference to in Jeremy's article. His argument was to catch them staged up as verus catch them off of a spawning nest. Either way they are going to dump eggs sometime during the battle. Your fish is clearly a staging fish and not yet a spawner. You have had a great couple of days so far. I hope you show a bigger one tommorrow. Good luck.

DaddyO Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Nice fish!! I can't wait to get down there. I'll be on my way tomorrow afternoon. DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted October 6, 2010 Root Admin Posted October 6, 2010 Bruce- are you seeing other anglers catch trout like you're catching? See other trout like these in the lake you're not catching? I'm amazed seeing so many rainbows like the ones caught here in the last 6 months.
Gavin Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Good for you....sounds like your having one heck of a trip!

Except in the outlet 2 where I see the snagging and draging. I saw a 24" female Brown dead below the outlet, sad. "See other trout like these in the lake you're not catching?" Yes! I was fishing for a huge Rainbow over 30" yesterday. I saw more Browns last week, I wonder if they went up the ladder in higher flows. I'm still not seeing the big push of huge Browns yet. The only good line is a tight line

Bruce, jesus you are the frigging man!!!! you are really doing well, I can't wait to get down there!!!!! To hear about the snagging of the browns makes me sick!!!! it just goes to show that there are idiots at all levels of fishing. I can't believe that guys have to stroke their egos by snagging a huge Brown trout that is trying to do it's thing. How does this make someone feel better about their fishing when they snag a fish???? I will never understand it and I have to try not to witness it because I always end up saying something to one of these dickwads and practicly get into a fight every time. Where are the authorities to curtail this practice??? I wish you could trim up your jet wash and blast them out of the river on to the parking lot that would be cool!!! Hear I go again sounding like a complaining, whining bitch, but some people make me sick and I will always confront them on it if I see it. Last year I saw a dad showing his son how to snag the fish and I had to explain to his son how much of looser his dad was for snagging the fish instead of actually trying to catch them on a pattern that they might eat or even have the skill to do it.Anyway Bruce leave some of the 10 pounders for the rest of us!!! you are making us all very jealous!!!! great job!!!
