Thanks again guys!

I will probably head down again on Sunday but kind of want to see some new water. Might head to Stockton or Bull but not sure just yet.

Appreciate the fishing reports from Tfish, and the fish pic's. It is always a "Sticky Wicket" to try and take pic's when you are by yourself. I anymore just won't do it, to hard to make them look like anything.

When you are posting pic's of fish they are always subject to each persons personal prespective.

I remember when I first started guiding, I was also Archery Deer hunt guiding. I took some of my mounts to the sports shows, and got nothing but negitive reaction. Everyone had killed or missed a bigger deer. Most of my stuff was junk, and I heard it constantly. I had mounts of 140 inch class deer, and everyone had a bigger one. Truth in fact is that only 2 percent of the deer hunters in the US have killed a whitetail buck with 150 inches of horn. I learned to have a very thick skin. I was putting it out there for everyone to see, and what I thought was good was just not impressing anyone. Lesson learned.

Fishing has been tough for most of us, one decent day is usually followed by 4 hard days. Tfish, has been on his shallow water pattern all Summer and has done well. I have tried to duplicate it along with others and have just not found his success. Weather it be specific baits, locations, or presentations, he has ruled the Rock for the past 6 months, and I thank and appreciate him sharing his adventures with us.

It however is kind of like my deer mounts. When you put it out there, everyone looks at it with his or her own eyes.

Pretty much done with this but if you are going to open you mouth at least know what you are talking about. It is hard to be on a shallow pattern the last 6 months when I didn't make a cast on Table Rock from the end of June until the 2nd week of Sept when the water came up in the bushes. I rarely fish Table Rock during the summer and like to spend my time floating various rivers in the area, fishing strip pits, heading up to Minnesota or messing around on a few conservation lakes. The only exception to the rule for me is if the water is up like it has been a few times lately...otherwise you won't see me on Table Rock much in July, Aug or Sept. The "ruled the rock" comment is unnecessary but coming from a guy who told an FLW touring pro he needed to quit his day job because he couldn't catch them in March...I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

And you say you have thick skin, If I remember right about this time last yr you came on here and started the same crap. Is that the only time you can catch fish on this lake is in the fall? maybe that is why you don't fish in the summer. Men like Bill, Champ and a few others spend alot of time on this lake, and if there having problems boy it's tuff. You know these men call it like they see it no rose colored glasses. I say a few of those pics were of the same fish so start on me. that is right you done with this

Gosh! guess my comment was taken completely out of context. I ment it as a huge compliment. I don't change my Summer deep water patterns for anyone, and I did this year by reading how well Tfish was doing. I fished hard to try and replicate his success and just could not put it together. Let me tell you if I try something new you had better believe I am impressed with what you are doing.

I do believe he had the strongest shallow water pattern on the Rock this Summer and was trying to congradulate him for it. Guess I goofed.

Ment absolutely no disrespect quite the opposite.

I went back and reread my entire post, and I don't see anywhere I was not respectful of his Shallow water fishing this year. 4 times in the post I either thanked or said I appreciated him sharing with us. How can thank you and appreciate you be misconstured?

Some folks are hard to appreciate.

I'll go back to that thick skin thing again and live and learn.

I think this has run it's course.

Bill, thanks for trying to do the right thing. I think when You can't be thin-skinned on any forum. They are as impersonal as the screen names we use. I should require everyone to use their REAL names and post a photo of themselves to see who we're really talking to - real people.

Anyhow- have a good holiday!
