New Years Resolution

Well, time to start a new year and a new start to fishing.

I'm going to make a new years resolution to try a new fishing method. Maybe try to use a fly rod,

Maybe get back in a canoe again. With a 14 month old at home, my fishing time is greatly reduced, so I need to

Have a plan. Either way let's all try something new this year.

Taking up fly fishing may seem like a harmless endeavor. However, the simple fact is, it will take over your life. One thing leads to another, and before long it's tying flies. The list is never ending. So, enjoy what little time you may have now, spend some time with family, because picking up the flyrod will take you away, far far away. I am going to focus more on finesse fishing during the winter and try some different methods for catching big smallies.
