Mitch f Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 How do you fish those Lucky Crafts? Reel them straight back in? Twitch them? Cricket is right, hard twitching with a pause on a slack line. I like to use the pointer 78 chartreuse shad or other natural bait fish colors. Cast as close to the bank as you can when the water is rolling pretty good against that steep bluff bank. You can also use the pointer 78 dd when the water is a little deeper. Remember, that is a 1 fish 21" limit area I think, ask Phil "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Ham Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Give them a try and report your results. Soft plastics in general don't seem to work as well on trout for me as they do for other species, but your results may be different. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. gotmuddy Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 I am gonna order some hard swimbaits this week from tacklewarehouse. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
emjay Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Is there a site to know when they are stocking the trouts? I'm not in it for the trouts but the bigger fishes that eat the trout.
Members ozarkstripers.com Posted January 21, 2011 Members Posted January 21, 2011 While fishing for stripers using 6-8 inch swim baits i have in the past caught several big browns. I have also seen others using swims baits catch the big browns while striper fishing. Usually using the rainbow or orange color. I don't know how consistent you could catch them but i do know they will hit it. I have caught more on the large rogues or jerk baits.
Gavin Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 . I have caught more on the large rogues or jerk baits. Think you might be onto something
