Members Stephen Hall Posted July 19, 2011 Members Posted July 19, 2011 Home water is LOTO but my heart is in the salt water off Chappaquiddick in Martha's Vineyard. This is my signature, there are many like it, but this one is mine. http://urlmd.com
Members Dirtworm Posted October 9, 2011 Members Posted October 9, 2011 Other - Big River, Joachim Creek, etc. "Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing." John 21:3 KJV If you don't catch 'em at night, try again in the morning.
JCWolfe Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 My home water was the Lower Illinois because it is the closest, but that place has been ruined now. As for my favorite tailwaters, probably the White and Norfolk. I've never fished Taney yet. My overall favorite is the Elk river in West Virginia. Okiemountaineer
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 My TRUE home water was Boathouse, and Horshoe Lakes in Carondalet Park in St Louis City. Homes of the yellow belly cat, and carp. Now they are Joachim Creek and Al Brown Lake in Festus, MO. Looking to expand my horizons again this year. Have a couple spots on the Big River, and Meramec that I am planning on visiting. Have been to Roaring River, did the trout fishing, have caught good size pond bass, but still have the deepest respect for 'ole Gran-daddy catfish. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me) I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)
Addicted to Creeks Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 My home waters are the Salt Rriver and its tributaries in NE MO , but Montauk and the Current River are where my heart lies. Fish always lose by being "got in and dressed." It is best to weigh them while they are in the water. The only really large one I ever caught got away with my leader when I first struck him. He weighed ten pounds. —Charles Dudley Warner
MoSportsmen Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I am a displaced Ozark angler. I grew up in Chesterfield and always headed south to fish, LOZ and numourous streams. Still love to fish the streams when ever I get a chance to. I have reciently moved to Macon so I got new home water to learn. Thomas Hill and Longbranch. I have lived most of my life in Kirksville so I know Thousand Hills and Hazel creek pretty well along with many other small lakes in a 30 mile radius of Kirksville. So far I have learned to catch the small hybreds at Thomas Hill looking for a keeper Hybred seems they are a bit rare there. Tom Messing about in boats
Members lunkertrout Posted February 18, 2012 Members Posted February 18, 2012 Ron - I couldn't agree more. Some of my most memorable trips have been wading/floating small streams without another angler in site. The middle fork of the Black and upper Jack's Fork come to mind
Members fish4food Posted June 16, 2012 Members Posted June 16, 2012 Home waters for me is a stretch of the mighty Susquehanna River in PA, from the 83 bridge to the turn pike bridge. Was one of the best small mouth fisheries in the United States, and the Walleye were pretty thick too. Went back a couple of years ago its just not the same. Spent every summer on that river for 18 years.
tippett7 Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Taneycomo is home for me. 10 minutes from house, and amazing place to fish.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted June 16, 2012 Author Root Admin Posted June 16, 2012 I know it's because most people don't see or vote here but Taneycomo out numbers Table Rock???? Come on!!
