gotmuddy Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I cut wood sunday JIC it got rough but we got lucky. Turns out we got rain all day and a tiny bit of snow, lots of wind and now its cold. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 2, 2011 Root Admin Posted February 2, 2011 We only got about 4-5 inches at the most on top of 3 inches of sleet. Pushed snow all day - wanted to go fishing. Fish like to eat in snow storms.

laker67 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 The fat rat did not see his shadow today, so spring is gonna be early this year! By golly it won't be early enough for me JD. Is the ice thick enough to fish your trout pond? It should be after this next winter blast.
Quillback Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Finally ended up with 8 or so inches. Power never went out, could've been worse I guess.
flytyer57 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Here's a pic of my brother shoveling out the snowblower that got stuck in the snow back in WI. Let's see your snow pics. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.

It should be after this next winter blast. The trout pond was ice free yesterday, 3 poor saps out fishing in the downpour for the opener of catch and keep. I did not drive by today. Came home this afternoon to our first snow, it started falling about 3:30, today, Wednesday, after the storm had blew out, and the ground was white by 4. More coming Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. I am amazed that you have no ice on the pond. Get out there and catch a few. The weather channel showed snow blanketing the entire state for monday. I may have to buy a snowmobile to be able to get to bssp. Thx for the info JD.
