laker67 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Leonard never showed. I stood outside waiting on him to pick me up with fly rod in hand and by the time I gave up, I had snot cycles hangin 12+ inches off my nose. Asked the wife if she wanted to go this morning.....She said she is nailing the door shut so I cant get out?????? I'm sure Leonard got scared about them beavers being out last night. Beavers are most active this time of year and espesically after dark. I think my wife is about ready to nail the door shut behind me. If it wasn't for this wonderful website, and full tilt poker, I would be absolutely insane. I shoveled 20 inches of snow out of the driveway yesterday. How bad did you get hit?
duckydoty Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Looks like a couple of inches of snow on top of a couple inches of sleet on top of a layer of ice. Not near as bad as I was expecting. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
Leonard Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 I'm sure Leonard got scared about them beavers being out last night. Call "The Wild Within" Did you know you can eat beaver tail? and a few other chucks ... shoulders and back straps http://www.taneycomonights.com
snagged in outlet 3 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I probably pushed ~8inches off lst night and I have another 4or5 this morning. Most of it looks like drifting, right across my driveway. My wife said, I snuggled up to her in the middle of the night and whispered something about Leonard to her. Not sure what that's about. Pete

Call "The Wild Within" Did you know you can eat beaver tail? and a few other chucks ... shoulders and back straps I did not know that. Does this mean you will be setting beaver traps along the shores of the upper lake? I can see myself getting caught in one of those traps with a huge brown on the line, and the water rising. What a way to go!

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 2, 2011 Root Admin Posted February 2, 2011 Ran the Kabota most of the day yesterday. Had to get up on the dock and shovel sleet off later in the day cause the fingers were starting to go underwater. I wanted to get out and fish in the snow so bad... just couldn't pull it off. May be today... but it's not snowing. I love fishing in the snow. We got about 3 inches of sleet, then about 4 inches of snow. The wind never kicked up that bad to no drifting. Hoping we can salvage a good weekend this weekend. Already had several cancel yesterday. I'm sure Cooper Creek's ramp won't be open for days but the downtown ramp is ok to use.
