dave potts Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Here is a website that lists stations having ethanol free gas. This particular list is for Missouri only but the site has links to all the states. I think all are for premium 91 octane gas. I just got some at Gasper's station in Kingdom City,Mo. Costs was thirty cents higher than 87 octane. The pumps had large stickers on them saying ethanol free. Dave http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=MO

Dave http://pure-gas.org/...sp?stateprov=MO thanks for the list Dave not one of these stations is anywhere near STL....lol ,what a joke.I will just have to keep using the additive....I refuse to run ethanol thru my outboards, cars or lawn equipment.
jeb Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Thanks for the link. 2 of the 3 in my area made the list. So it's not a complete list, but good info, none the less. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha

If you click on the site, there is a place where you can make additions. In fact, I think that's how the list was compiled and kept updated. Dave
jeb Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Cool. Just added the 3rd. Went right into the database, too. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
jdmidwest Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 I was under the impression Hi Octane or Premium Grade fuel is exempt from the regulation requiring ethanol and that is what I use in marine and small engines. Am I wrong in assuming that? "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

Am I wrong in assuming that? When in doubt, filler up with premium... That's what I usually do anyway. This E85 crap is gonna send me back to bank fishing..
Quillback Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Thanks for that link. I did some research and as far as I can tell, High Octane gas, 89 or 91 can contain Ethanol.

jeb Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Thanks for that link. I did some research and as far as I can tell, High Octane gas, 89 or 91 can contain Ethanol. That's 100% correct. I would for sure assume that any grade of gas contains, or can contain, 10% ethanol if the pump has the "can contain up to 10% ethanol" sticker. Many states do allow premium fuel to be ethanol free, but that does not mean all the premium is ethanol free. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
