Great report, Scott. Looks like a hell of a trip. Ten days...wow!

I wonder if Phil knows he has the filter set up to change the word "d-a-m" to "darn." Last I heard, a "d-a-m" was a big concrete thing that turns a river into a lake...didn't know it was a word to avoid around grandma.

E, we stay in air conditioned cabins at a resort on the Black River that provides three meals aday and entertainment. I just use that as a base camp to venture out surrounding waters. It was a darn good time thoughhave-a-nice-day.png

I'm also having trouble copying the vids over from Utube to here not sure why????? but when I was a newbie you walked me through posting pics and vids like an IT pro.

It's probally my darn work computer

Sounds like a great trip. I haven't spent much time down in that corner of the Ozarks but it sounds like a great area.

Oops, my fault...well, Scott's fault for misspelling "dam." laugh.gif

I miss the old iron bridge and the deeper pools that used to be there at Black River Lodge. I don't miss the "Underwater Jeep Races." BTW business has been down for them and I would hate to see it change hands. The Ries family have owned it since 1946. Since I married into a St. Louis family I have gone the week of July 4th since 1972. Its a very nice family vacation check it out.
