ColdWaterFshr Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 What a report! Makes our Gasconade trip look kinda silly with all those big fish pictures. MoSmallies -- she's quite fetching! Good for you.

Good for you. That's what I'm saying....he's a lucky man and she will fish all day. In all seriousness these were only the biggest we caught, there were a ton of fish that were quite smaller and the pics from the conservation agents.....well I thought they were just kinda cool.
Trout Commander Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I do appologize to my adopted son MOsmallie's fiancee' the " Turtle whisperer" as she out fished just about everybody on the trip. She is a dam fine fisherman and has some extreme patience, she's also easy on the eyes. As much as this pains me because she out fished my butt here are some of her nice smallies. a nice fat 18 another quality smallie from the same evening........the Turtle whisperer Nice pics of the same fish. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack
Smalliebigs Posted July 11, 2011 Author Posted July 11, 2011 I'm pretty sure they are different fish, I know standing there in a rum induced drunken state she caught a 15 incher and an 18 incher and the bummer was neither were tagged. She hammered some smallies in that little strech.
Flysmallie Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I'd say they are the same since they were taken within 13 seconds of each other. Or maybe she's just really fast! Either way, great pictures. Â Â
MOsmallies Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Thank you for all the kind comments! I am a pretty lucky guy! And they actually were two separate fish. We were pretty close to our take out when she caught them. She caught the 18" first and since we were close to the truck and the camera was in the truck I put it on a stringer. I wouldn't normally put a smallie on a stringer, but this was her biggest one to date and she really wanted a picture to show off to all the guys back at the lodge. In the last few yards before the truck she caught the other one that went a little over 15". So we snapped two quick photos at our take out and then released them to fight another day. She had one hell of a night, because her first fish near our put in had a $25 tag on it.
