Members kdan Posted January 15, 2012 Members Posted January 15, 2012 Some very interesting stuff. I haven't made up my mind on the thing yet, and it don't look like it matters much any way. It will get fished, a lot. So thank you to every one for your posts, for my self I appreciate all you have to say.
1969Larson Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 What does it matter if you are catching fish by throwing 5 hooked swimbaits, 1 finess worm, a hand-tied fly, or pulling the fish out from under the bank with your bare hands? Have fun and make good memories. If you're lucky, share them with someone you love. Don't break the law. Don't waste. Respect your quarry and it's creator.
gotmuddy Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 I am picking up a couple tomorrow, interested in trying it out. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
emjay Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 we know somebody is gonna throw out 5 hooks until they see the ranger boat come up and then cut 2 of the hooks away.
abkeenan Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 we know somebody is gonna throw out 5 hooks until they see the ranger boat come up and then cut 2 of the hooks away. We know that that someone is going to drive 90MPH in a 60MPH zone. Just the way it is. Rules were meant to be broken as they say. It a shame but people will do whatever they can get away with until they are handed a punishment that hurts enough to deter them from doing it again.
Champ188 Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 You nailed it abkeenan. It's human nature to do what you're told not to. Started with Adam and Eve, the serpent and the apple.
emjay Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Missouri Wildlife Code 3 CSR 10-20.805 Definitions (44) Pole and line: Fishing methods using tackle normally held in the hand, such as a cane pole, casting rod, spinning rod, fly rod, or ice fishing tackle commonly known as a tip-up, to which not more than three (3) hooks with bait or lures are attached. This fishing method does not include snagging, snaring, grabbing, or trotlines or other tackle normally attached in a fixed position. The addition of hook-less attractors on the remaining two attachment points with our enforcement staff this morning. Focus remains on the number of hooks associated with the rig. Therefore, the addition of hook-less items on the remaining attachment points would be permissible as the Wildlife Code is currently written.
