stlfisher Posted December 21, 2011 Author Posted December 21, 2011 Congrats! And trust me, as a dad of two little girls and a Current River fly fishing addict, no fishing trip will ever compare to being a dad. Best of luck!! Thanks jah!

KCRIVERRAT Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Congrats buddy! One question... does your fiance like river fishing like you do? I am so lucky. My wife organizes an all-girl float every summer. She and her sisters fish their butts off and some of the other gals at the very least have learned what kind of fish live in our streams (though i've learned even more from other members on this very forum). She started doing this around 20 years ago after I started taking her float-fishing. I'm proud of her. We're not the best on the river, but we've done OK through the years. Here's to many happy years ahead... and, DON'T ARGUE OVER THE SMALL (you know what). HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS

mic Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Remember these two words that are the key to a happy mairrage.......Yes dear. The key to a great marriage is yard work. That is why the old married couples have the best lawns...
rps Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 I got lucky in 1970. She hasn't thrown me out yet. I hope you have the same extraordinary luck!.

This year she was becoming pretty savvy with a spinning rod chasing bass and a few trout. We mostly fished places close to home for bass, but made a couple trips to Bennett, Montauk, and the Current. She had a great time and really enjoyed it. I am sure there will more trips as she gains experience. I showed her the postings on the boundary waters up north so that might be one to work up too for her. If not fishing she is content to float and read her kindle. She loves the outdoors so that bodes well.
