eric1978 Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Like Bismuth and Heavy Shot, it will cost you up the kazoo I'd be willing to pay for it. I hate the Vibrams.
strangercreek Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Svelte? http://www.korkers.com/soles-accessories/soles-for-fishing/svelte.html I wonder if this would throw off the whole question when a boot check situation arises on the water somewhere (I will admit I haven't read the rules specifically because that stuff bores the hell out of me).

Hmmm...svelte. Interesting. Anyone ever used it? Dollars to donuts Agent Fife gives you the ticket anyway.
Gavin Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Figure the ban is gonna cost me a good chunk of change in replacement costs...Boots arent cheap, and studs are extra. I'll need a replacement pair for me, and one for my wife..I'm not pleased with the unexpected cost, and I'm not convinced that its going to make any difference in the end, but it is a done deal..... Look on the bright side....It's a great excuse to visit your favorite tackle shop and buy some stuff you really want...and a pair of bewts!
FishinCricket Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Enforcement: You guys think they'll just nip it in the bud by setting up checkpoints? Like at the entrances and exits of the parks? cricket.c21.com
fishinwrench Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Enforcement: You guys think they'll just nip it in the bud by setting up checkpoints? Like at the entrances and exits of the parks? Doubt it. I would hope that it is still legal to wear whatever you want on your feet....as long as you are not standing in a trout stream. Better check the wording though, this might be one of those "laws" actually designed for something else. LOL I know it would please my G/F if they outlawed wearing socks with sandals.... she has a hissy fit when she notices someone doing that and will darn near wreck the car over it.

But it's so comfortable! As far as enforcement goes, I imagine it'd be a random check, and IMO, wouldn't be any tougher to decipher than whether someone is using a treble hook, lead shot in a waterfowl area, or doesn't have a plug in their shotgun. <{{{><
dennis boatman Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 I like the rubber cement option... A strike indicator is just a bobber...

ozark trout fisher Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Oh well, it's gonna happen, and the $60 or so that we'll have to pay to replace them is pretty small compared to what we are spending on gas money to get to the river, flies, fly tying material, rods, reels, leaders, and tippet, (or spinners, powerbait, jigs, hooks, line and such) and all the other stuff we end up buying in a year of fishing. We knew this was coming way in advance, and in any case everyone has still got two months to come up a pretty small amount of money, compared to what we're spending to get on the water anyway. Or there's always rubber cement.
