dtrs5kprs Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Bill I could see it if the Rock was in good shape its only a 4lb average for 3 days but with the lake messed up right now I just dont see it happening. Take in to account that is putting it all togeather 3 days in a row, lake conditions, more rain possible and hazards in the lake to wat for along with so many people being out because of the weather. I think its stretching it a bit. Now i could see three days around 42lbs for a guy that gets a decent pattern formed. Watched the BASS guys fish in lightning and run WOT with all the debris during the big Easter wetness last spring. No doubt they are used to those conditions, but it sure looks like they are less concerned with safety than the check. Not all of them, but a bunch. Have to add I was staying at the same resort as Ish Monroe, and he was sensibly under cover during some of the worst of it. As to weights...there is a possibility someone finds some early beds or a loaded staging point and thumps the rest of the field.
Sprint21fter Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I look for the locals to put a beat down on them. Dodson and Long they now what to do and where to look when these conditions are the way they are. It will be interesting.
Jason Essary Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Ok, I want into the pool. I will take 16lb per day to make the cut (average). Essary Construction - Honest work for honest price Custom Construction and Remodeling Call for free quotes (417)338-6418 http://essarycustomhomes.com/
Bill Babler Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 REally, I think the weather is going to be almost the sole factor in the weights. Also this lake is just dropping like a rock. No pun intended. Read one quote and this guy thought a bag on Sunday would be the biggest weighed in due to bedding fish. I just cannot believe there are that many big gals locked on that tight yet. I'm no bed fisherman and I can kind of stink it up this time of the year. Especially if there is any kind of a water event and then you have high prussure on top of it. Projected winning weight now is 77 pounds for 4 days. When Ehiler won 2 years ago, I belive he had high 60 pounds in 4 days and won by double digets. I would be suprised if it was more than what it took for him then. Under 70 pounds. 70 is a whopping 17.5 a day for 4 days. That is a load as far as I'm concerned. That kind of puts it at 35 pounds to fish the weekend. I usually guess lite as I try to predict what I could catch and then double it. I don't think we will see 9 over 8 weighed in the entire derby, but I could be wrong. That is how many CPA had 2 weeks ago on one day. None of the pro's are reporting catching any good fish what so ever. Only keeps and 2.5 pounders. Most are now saying its tougher than they thought it would be. We will get a feel after tomorrow. I want to see not the top bag, but the 10th. to 20th. place bags. How many bags at or above 20 pounds do we see on day one? http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

He won the PAA event here last year and if those brown fish are starting to get shallow, he will have a poke of them for sure. Be really suprised if Long makes the cut. Stacy and Robbie, be suprised if they didn't http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Jason Essary Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Caught some brownies last night, just not commenting till after the event. Partner caught one real close to 6lb, 22 inches. I was lucky to get one right at 5. Go Stacey. Essary Construction - Honest work for honest price Custom Construction and Remodeling Call for free quotes (417)338-6418 http://essarycustomhomes.com/
Members Dan Schweitzer Posted March 29, 2012 Members Posted March 29, 2012 I'm going to say that guy is a complete IDIOT. Top 10 will be under 30 if I am reading the lake correct. It has gotten so hard it is unbelieveable. Maybe some flip in the bushes, but this lake is dropping 4 in. a day and is muddy as all getout. Table Rock fish do not like mud, even in the James and Kings. Would like to see how that windbag fairs. Be very suprised if anyone is over 36 on the second day. Way to much prussure and way to poor of condition. Hope I'm wrong, but we'll see. The guy is Dave Lefebre. His Facebook post clarifies that he actually said 10th for 4 days will be 57lbs. He thinks the 3 day cut will be 48lbs. That was also before the rain and the warm up. I guess you can't believe everything you read - even on a fishing website.
roy_eros Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 I'll put my money on Robbie, 2guys will probably stumble on a 20 pound bag today.

It is easy to get misquoted or make a mistake. I do it everyday. I'm guessing 5 or 6 bags close to 20 lbs. 22.14 for leader. It's fun to guess. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
duckydoty Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 My wife woke up this morning asking, "What is that noise?" I told her it was swarming hornets....just the boats parading by the house. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
