Members kirbydog Posted April 1, 2012 Members Posted April 1, 2012 Jack's guide service is reporting a client caught a crappie that went 6.02 lbs. Hurrican Deck area, mm 33. I can't even imagine what a crappie that big would look like. Is it true?
Jerry Rapp Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 I caught 2 last year in the same general area that weighed a little over 4 on dig scales. So yes, it is possible I suppose.
Members kirbydog Posted April 1, 2012 Author Members Posted April 1, 2012 I was just wondering if this is an April fools joke.
Addicted to Creeks Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Nothing on google yet Fish always lose by being "got in and dressed." It is best to weigh them while they are in the water. The only really large one I ever caught got away with my leader when I first struck him. He weighed ten pounds. —Charles Dudley Warner
fishinwrench Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Jack was last seen (by me) hangin'round Gravi., so I'm callin' fib until he posts a pic
Members kirbydog Posted April 4, 2012 Author Members Posted April 4, 2012 Jack has taken down any mention of a 6 lb crappie caught by a client so I guess it was an April Fools joke.
Seth Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 I've never seen any big crappie from LoZ. Biggest I think we've caught was about 13". Lots and lots of eaters though which are what crappie were made for!
laker67 Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 I think we hold the world record for largest number of longboats.
