BS is a matter of opinion and not all opinions should be expressed 100% of the time. If that were the case, this forum would be dead - I would have killed it a long time ago. I don't agree 100% with 99% of the people on 100% of their opinions therefore I have to bend and give space. Although I have the power to nix anything and everything here, it doesn't give me the right to do so because in MY opinion people are more important than my opinions.

Well said, thank you for a voice of reason.

On the wildflower subject-

It's all about priorities, I really don't care about anyone transplanting wildflowers for their yard. Just don't gig or over-harvest any smallmouth and I'm good to go. :)

I understand what you are saying is mostly in jest.

But to be unambiguous on the subject, digging up a rare and protected orchid(in this case a lady slipper), whether on public land or private, is illegal. I understand that rare flowers are going to induce less sympathy than smallmouth bass on this forum, however it is important to point out when ever someone is poaching wildlife, especially ones that can easily be decimated, or already are.

Link to US Forestry Service article about the ethics of native plants, which is more thorough on the subject:

And low and behold, here's some more nastiness, just going back the other way.

It's ok OTF, I got my big boy pants on.

Even if you think someone is full of BS, that doesn't mean he is not worth listening to. Not one person on this forum has the secret insight on all the different topics. I'm fully aware of my weaknesses and can learn from anyone. Best thing to do is what Eric did and just let it go.

I didn't start this thread.

Just so you're not too deeply scarred, here are two more images. One was painted in the traditional way, acrylic on canvas. The other was created entirely in Photoshop but without using photos in any way...it was drawn and painted in Photoshop.post-218-0-76658900-1336400584_thumb.jpgpost-218-0-50850700-1336400558_thumb.jpgCan you tell which one was which?

Alright Al, I'll bite. My theory behind my guess is that the lure has dated the sketch. Top sketch equals swimbait and therefore you used a computer. Pop-R.......old school!

You drove me to drink last night, and now you want me to make decisions? Well I'll try, I think the one with the lilly pad is real only because I think I've seen that in the past. It really is amazing what can be done with the computer both of the fish look like they were painted or photoshop.............My question now is can the computer app actualy put acrilyc on canvas?...........Or do I just stick to paint by numbers?........

First to Al, I have been seeing photoshops for years and honestly cant tell which is which if I had to guess it would be the pad pic.

Now as to the Net. I have been on it since Prodigy and AOL Pay to Play days, I have seen more crud on it then I can even remember. There are those with thick skins and those without and then there are trolls and people who say it straight from the heart. I have left sites but not because of members but because of the Administration and moderators who abuse the power and constantly edit members post. I do not appreciate and never will appreciate my words being edited. I have always said DELETE THE POST, NEVER EDIT IT. FYI Editing a post also opens sites owners up to lawsuits it takes the protection they are afforded as a host and turns them to a editor. Anyway, I never have minded correction when I said something stupid we all do it big deal its a way to learn. I dont mind a spirited debate heck thats a learning tool as well.

Just like in life there are some people you ignore and others you listen to and some that come along you just really want to meet and become friends with. It is just what you put into it.

Al, I would have to guess the photoshop one would be the topwater bass. Both of them are great work, I just like the looks of the swimbait one better.

Guilty! I must confess. I have edited posts in the past!! I've corrected misspelled words. Even yours- just a few times- FF. It was when I copied your great posts to the main site. Not all the time... it's those red squiggley lines under the words that haunt me.

Sorry.... it was the "Marsha" in me. That's my wife. She's a journalist major. It's her fault.
