speaking of rules, I am proposing a new one for Springfield lake. ONLY THE PEOPLE WHO POST ON THIS BOARD ARE ALLOWED TO FISH THE LAKE! :secret-laugh:

Works for me.....

last night there were 7 jug lines out on lake springfield. i saw them when i was going accross the bridge going for a walk with the family. there were three guys on a boat about 50 yards from them fishing off the bottom for cats, they were basicly under the bridge so i yelled down to them if those were theirs they said yes i told them that you cant have those in here they said mind your f---ing business. i called the dnr and they just told me to come back in 2 hrs and if they were still there to call them back. hmmm, i guess if they aren't worried about it then nobody else should, heck who wants to bring their boats out there even if they have 125 horses on it, they won't care.

Are there any lakes near Springfield you are allowed to hug fish on

I've seen pro's kiss their fish before putting them back in the water but never hug them.  I'd think that would get fish slime all over your fishing clothes.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
