5bites Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Man did this come back from the dead or what!? Anyway paca craws are awesome. I almost exclusively use them. The flappers come off on small fish and it makes me mad but they are a fantastic lure.
Mitch f Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I'll be selling these towards the later part of this year.. they will come in a 3" and a 4" with one or two colors. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Thats about the most realistic looking plastic craw i've seen!!! when you get ready to sell them, let me know!
jdmidwest Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I have been fishing a Yum Craw and one made by River to Sea, both are pretty realistic and effective. I use a 1/8 oz jig with the Yum, the River to Sea is prerigged. Tube jigs work too. Bass Pro Tender Tubes are the best, nice and soft unlike alot of other tubes. Mitch f Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Love those craws Mitch. I will take some in light tan with a horizontal black stripe on the cephalothorax. Closest thing I've got....my first 2 color craw I'll send some as soon as I can "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Gavin Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Great job Mitch! Pair that with some sushi rice and a dab of wasabi and I would eat it. Pair your super awesome jig heads with it.....Cost to make, test, etc..might be able to get you some Federal tax credits for the R&E if you are going to market.
moguy1973 Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I've had my best luck with SK Rage Craws rigged on a Rage Rig. It's basically a swimbait hook with a spring keeper and looks like this: It works well with other craws and I've used Netbait Paca craws and Berkley chigger craws but the Rage Craws seem to have the best action on that rig. The only problem with the Rage Craws is that the claws aren't the most durable and tend to break off pretty easily (or even torn off by panfish) -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
