So I went to Taneycomo this afternoon for the first time since the winter. I sweat my butt off until I got on the water. Then I found out my waders are leaking on the left leg. Have to seal all the seams and hope that works. Any recommendations on a product for that?

Then, after catching about 6 on olive woolly buggers, I failed to pay attention to what I was doing and jammed my rod tip, breaking it between the 2nd and 3rd piece. It's a TFO 8' 4wt 4 pc rod. So now, I've got to budget in the $25 to send it back and try out their lifetime warranty.

Oh well, it sure beat doing any kind of labor on this Labor Day.

if you got to budget in $25 then you need to re-think things. Common sense.

Wow,

Glad you caught some fish Jack, sorry about the rod.

Jack - at least you caught six before you had to call it a day....I was in a boat with sweat running from my neck to my nether regions and wish I could use the excuse that I had broekn my rod...it took me five hours to catch four! It was a togh bite for me at least...let us know if TFO comes through with thier warrenty...sometimes there are "rules"

Some days just happen like that but things usually work out OK in the end. Aquaseal is a common wader repair product. Good luck with the rod and also finding the leak in your waders.

Aquaseal for sure. Patch the inside, not the outside like I did once. You'll look like a dweeb if you do. :)

I took the grandson out for a quick trip before they headed back to KC. Night crawlers above the resort. Caught 8 in short order. Kept a couple of a microwave snack/lunch.

They were biting bait good. Pretty still... probably was hard for fly rodders.

With a wife that's out of work for right now and in school, one income and kids, etc... Yeah, I have to budget it for right now. It doesnt mean that it will take months probably at the end of the week, but there's things more important than a fly rod Jerry. Unless you'd like to contribute.......

Where's the best place to buy Aquaseal?

And thanks for the tip Phil. I would have put it all on the outside for sure. I'll probably just seal all around the boot and up the leg to the inseam. Although I think the inseam is where it leaked from. Unless I suddenly became incontinent.
