Mizzou Looked Pretty Bad Today

Random thoughts:

1. Franklin is not Gabbert or Daniels. It's not a knock on Franklin, but, Mizzou's last two QBs made it to the NFL. Franklin will not. They should adjust accordingly.

2. Pinkel is not a miracle worker. Face it, the talent level on upper tier SEC teams, up and down the roster, is vastly superior to our team.

3. As fans, we need to quit looking back at the Big 12 (or 8 depending on your age). The move has been made, so, let's embrace it, cheer for Mizzou and support our "state" school.

4. See #1. I agreed with Gary Danielson. Mizzou got too cute for their own good on offense sometimes.

5. Learn how to tackle.

6. When you consistently give a nationally ranked team, playing at home, a short field on offense, bad things will usually happen.

Mizzou needs a coach that will pay players to compete in the SEC . Pinkel is good with what he can get(mostly 2nd tier tx players), but they should have stayed in the Big 12. The SEC is pro ball basically. See Cam Newton for starters. Money buys players, and if anyone thinks otherwise they live in fantasy land.

I believe the last 3 quarterbacks for Mizzou are in the NFL. And that is not all. There quite a few Tigers now playing in the NFL.

Maybe the NFL see's something the SEC doesn't.

Not what I wanted to "discuss." However, Mizzou has "put" quite a few players in the NFL, and not bench warmers either. With all that pro talent, why hasn't Mizzou been better?

Mizzou got the best recruit in the country so that excuse won't fly if they keep getting better talent.

The truth is Mizzou was a mediocre (sometimes good) team in the big 12, and they will be a mediocre (sometimes good) team in the SEC. We can't expect them to go to a bigger conference with more upper tier teams and think they will do better then they did in the big 12. If they have trouble with Vandy, Kentucky etc. then we can get upset because those are teams like Iowa State, and Kansas that you expect to beat year in and year out.

If anyone thought they would beat SC or Georgia that's like expecting them to beat Oklahoma and Texas in a normal year, doesn't happen very often.

It's one thing to get beat, they need to quit the mistakes if they want to keep these games respectable.

I would like to see the RBacks play a 7a team but after seeing what some of the 7A is doing this year that loss for the Backs would be devestating.... Next week we face TAM and they are really looking like an SEC Team suprised me... Mizz not suprised but A&M very suprising of the two. 246yrds in punt returns REALLY!!!!
