mic Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I was going to ask Phil to add a hiking thread. However, I wanted to know if anyone else is interested in it before I did. MIC
Jack Jones Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I would support this thread. I like to hear where people are and have hiked. Always nice to have pointers on whats worth seeing Especially places outside the state parks. Maybe in conservation areas. strangercreek Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I would be interested in a hiking/mountain biking thread, maybe both activities could draw some interest. I have some nice battle scars from the Sac river trail
junkman Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I would be interested in reading the threads. Don't know about contributing much. Know I don't get out and enjoy them as much as I should. This time of year is a good time to be out on one. Like maybe Painted Rock Conservation Areamore infoAddress: south of Jefferson City. Will be lovely in a few weeks.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted October 4, 2012 Root Admin Posted October 4, 2012 What about geocaching? I don't do it... not sure if it's still popular.
mic Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 Three is a crowd. Phil will you please open a hiking, mountain biking and geocaching link.
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I would enjoy a dedicated thread that would incorporate all three myself. Flysmallie Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 What about geocaching? I don't do it... not sure if it's still popular. Me and my girls used to do it, they really enjoyed it.
mic Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 Me and my girls used to do it, they really enjoyed it. I'm going to try it for the first time with my little one this weekend. Wish me luck.
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I do it, JDMIDWEST does it, I am still new to it. It is fun, the kids like it, I do also. it can be difficult, but it is something different. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction.
