Champ. Is there a particular area of Beaver you would start at to throw the wart? I have been fishing from Prairie Creek to point 12. Should i be going the other way this time of year due to falling water temps in the rivers? Just trying to figure em out.

I have a box of all of them. The one ten plus one has produced the best for me. It is all about the confidence you have in a bait. My lucky craft pointers are nice, but I throw the megabass most of the time as it produces.

I throw McSticks 90% of the time and I have rogues, pointers and RC STX's. My brother prefers the LC pointers. I don't do anything to the McSticks and fling them "as is" right out of the pack. Have had no issues with them other than a couple that filled with water and sank and those were the first run production ones that are now long gone and the ones you buy now will not have that issue. I throw mine on 10lb Berkley Fluoro 100% and have no reason to change as it performs flawless for me. No breakage issues and if it gets some memory I tie it to a tree walk off about 80-100 yards or so and give it a stretch then wind it back in and give it a spritz of KVD line conditioner. Works for me. As far as colors I have slayed them on a variety of colors. Chrome Shad, Blue Bandit, Norman Flake have all done well for me. I have a gray ghost still in the pack that I have yet to throw but it looks to be killer.

Had my first decent jerkbait bite this year on one of the Bella Vista community lakes, caught 8 LM, no bigguns, but most were in the 14-16" range. However, I'm proudest of this almost 15" black crappie. Ghost shad McStick was the winner today.

WOW. Now that is a nice feeesh. My biggest crappie ever caught was on TR and was caught with a table rock shad X-rap about 5 years ago. Those big slabs will suck down bigger baits too!

Yeah I catch a crappie every now and then on a jerkbait, and they're usually nice ones.

FYI for everybody, just got an email from Basstackledepot.com, they are having a 25% discount sale through Sunday. 110 McSticks for $8.62. RC STX's for $5 and change. Looks like no discount on Megabass.

I've got some 110's but since the STX baits came out they just sit in the box. I've caught a ton of fish on the STX baits and have yet to break any of them. They've fixed the split ring issues, the hooks still suck but I usually change hooks out on my baits anyways. I've got several of the STX Jr's now too and caught this wonderfully colored fish at one of the toughest little lakes we have up here that isn't known for producing fish over 15", let alone a fish like this. This one ate the secret night color right next to the boat.

Big thanks to all you folks who responded to my post. Lots of good information. But what else would you expect from readers of this forum.

I need to switch out the split rings. Who makes a good lite ring? Would like to purchase in bulk. The bass almost tore my hooks off my STX last week, and it seems to be a good winter project with the snowstorm we go today! We maybe done in Kansas City for the year
